SVP:GOM Player

Setting up GOM Player

• version used: 2.2.57.5189 (30 March 2014)
• developer's web site

Requires: ffdshow should be installed in advance.

We highly recommend to replace GOM Player with any other one for use in conjunction with SVP.

Basic settings

• Use main menu item right mouse button -> Preferences...
• In the Filter section
  • Open Codec tab and click Select None
  • For the additional SVP features check Enable Quick Play Mode on Disable Filters tab

• • On Advanced Settings tab:
    • Select Filter Rendering Method: Advanced
    • Click Add Filter and select ffdshow Video Decoder in the list then press OK
    • Set Highest mode for ffdshow Video Decoder filter and press OK

How to check

Playing File Info... window is available from the main menu and with the Ctrl+F1 hot key.

Additional comments

• GOM Player requires additional tuning for proper handling of additional SVP features like frame crop and black borders lighting. Also aspect ratio value should be adjusted manually when using those features.
