MPC-HC that comes with SVP, which is v1.6.8, with default options + madVR. Slow motion really doesn't work
I know. Soon SVP 3.1.6 will be released. Full pack will contain MPC-HC 1.7.3 and good worked slow motion.

SVP crashes, or MPC crashes. Especially when seeking
Yes. This problem can be solved. Choose another value of setting "Turn off on seek" in SVP tray menu. I recommend "Don't turn off". Crashes will stop but you can see interesting effect 'frames from the past' after seeking in first 1-2 seconds.

SVP + madVR is complicated to configure
Leave all settings at their defaults. I think it is good choice and not complicated.

blue-ray quality videos doesn't work well in MPC, even with SVP off, it lags, skips and gets off sync with the audio
What your PC configuration? I think it is just weak PC for bluray.

480p and 1080p (and all other marked *) videos open slower than 360p and 720p because they have two streams.
In russian thread we found that high bandwidth of internet can solve problem of slow youtube video opening.
I have 50 Mbps and 2hours youtube video at 480p resolution opened for me in 6 seconds.

I use MPC-HC 1.7.3 with all internal filters enabled.

What internet bandwidth do you have?

в MPC-HC 1.7.3 со включёнными внутренними декодерами открывает (очень долго!) 11 мин 10 сек
У меня открылось сразу в 480p, длиной 1:58:05. Открывалось 6 секунд. Видимо, толщина канала интернет должна быть хорошей, чтобы открывалось целиком и недолго.
Плавность повышается, если включен SVP.

Why is the video and audio separate?
Youtube service does so. I don't know why.

Maybe you can find solution in that thread: SVPtube 1080 (*) problems. No sound, buffering issue.

Видео и звук в отдельных потоках. Такое не каждый плеер умеет играть. Если быть точным, то умеют такое играть только два плеера последних версий: MPC-HC и MPC-BE.

Slow Motion and SVP. Suddenly it works.
I use MPC-HC 1.7.3 and  internal LAV filters as decoder. All modes with low playback speed are work to me with great smoothness: 0.50x, 0.25x, 0.13x.

Thank you to point me to that SloMo-in-RealTime method. Awesome! It is natural 'Easter egg' in SVP!!!

All usefull values can calculate automatically.
For 48 fps use 'double framerate'. It more correct to different input framerates: 23.976, 24, 25, 30 and another nonstandard.

If you want 48 fps and only 48 then use false monitor refresh rate: SVP tray menu - Screen selection - Force... - Specify custom screen refreshrate

Caution: You will get jerky playback if your framerate differ from monitor refresh rate.

No. But you will get free performance to another processing video on GPU: pixel shaders like sharpen complex 2, madVR's doubling, upsize and dither.

You need to try it with your iGPU at smaller frame size. Then decide to yourself what power do you need.

Yes. Less or more.

i3 4130 has performance 1200-1400 SVPmarks (see i3 4130 results).
It can smooth FullHD video from 24 to 60 fps at 'good' settings. See FPS in 'good' subtest column.
Yes. iGPU is used and useful for this task.
