Topic: Loading Susbtitles crashes MPC-HC

I am using LAV + ffdshow raw video filter + LAV Splitter

I have auto load subtitles set to on

at first, the subtitles load very big, too big that most of the sides is cut off

I don't know how to decrease the size

and now MPC-HC crashes the moment I set the subtitles to English:

I tried the same movie with VLC Media Player and the subtitles load perfectly

well, try MPC-HC 1.7.xxx with LAV filters built-in

I did, same result, when I turn off subtitles in ffdshow, then when I choose subtitle: English, nothing appears now. I switched toe rendering from EVER 9 to madVR, no subtitles still. I don't even know what to use as the renderer anymore to have madVR + LAV + subtitles

did you use VS filter or XY-VS-filter or vobsub?

madVR can show subtitles itself without ffdShow/VS filter/XY-VS-filter.

If you can't setup it yourself then I will get home after 5 hours from now. I can help via TeamViewer from home.

Thanks to Rimsky , the problem is solved now! I really appreciate your help bro!

The problem was the built in subtitles of MPC-HC was conflicting with the LAV Splitter subtitles that's why it was crashing.

So I installed MPC-BE which I like its interface more, but then I wasn't able to select the English subtitles, what Rimsky did was enable the tray icon of LAV Splitter in its options, then we could see the subtitles options, so he selected English and the subtitles appeared perfectly!

Great help from this forum for an issue that is not directly related to SVP.

So the problem was with subs in LAV+MPC-HC but with MPC-BE it was necessary only to enable subs in LAV splitter but this posible only via tray icon while it was disable

One more way to select subtitles in LAV splitter is without icon enabling go to player menu Play - Filters - LAV Splitter
