Exactly. Which is why i asked if SVP was compatible with powerdvd.

As mpc hc doesn't support playback of original bluray movies, i have to use powerdvd, but i want the smooth SVP framerates, is it possible to use SVP with it?

No idea if this has to do with madVR, but yeah, i use it. But what is madvr for anyways? i thought it was a part of SVP? or does svp just use madVR to add frame interpolation?

After i updated, the image goes black both when i choose compact mode windowed or fullscreen (mpc hc)

This is what i get when i booted up my pc to watch some supernatural.

Worked just fine yesterday, but when i put my pc to sleep, then woke it today, screens were black, had to hard reset it, and now svp just gives this error..

15:55:52.069 [W]: Video: error launching C:\Program Files (x86)\MPC-HC/mpc-hc

Edit: found issue, forgot that i renamed the player to fool people on steam with fake games.

No problem. and is there a fix fo the flickering that happens when you fullscreen in d3d?  and also it flickers between 2 pictures when i seek in the videos aswell.

found the issue. Reclock was the culprit. Uninstalled it, and now it boots up as fast as any other player.

You may need to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely uninstall your GPU drivers before re-installing them:

Yeah, that's what i intend to use.

After i updated, svp does not detect my titan X anymore? Tried to restart svp several times and even reinstalled it, but still nothing.

Huh, for some reason, only parts of the message got included :S

Should have been: Cause i don't wanna pay for it if the mac in the end ain't strong enough to process the video for smooth 48 fps

I'm interested in this. Cause i have a shield tablet with a kickass gpu and with it's gpu  the acceleration could probably reach 48 or even 60 fps.

WAnted to test it for mac, but only the purchaseable version is available? CAuse i don't wanna pay for it if the mac ain

12+GB movies from a external usb 3.0 wd elements

svp4 free on the tablet. same, but Pro on the desktop

Mpc with svp uses equally long time with both mkv video files as with youtube videos. Around 20 sec

Does it really have that much buffering and preloading to do?

Video formats filter -> Hide V+A (DASH) formats

Video formats filter -> Show VP9 and MP4 OR Show all formats

thabnks, now it works fine smile

But i wonder, is there a way to get the player to play 60 fps youtube videos with 2 times the framerate? For example cranking the fps up to 144 as i can with movies?

Awww, don't give up that easily!  The thing is, SVP4 Free is totally not optimized for low-end hardware.  I mean, even at 800MHz your tablet should still be faster than my aforementioned Core 2 Duo T8300 that lacks any sort of GPU acceleration!

And for reference, this is even with doing x2.5 interpolation with 24fps content.  If you'd like, I could even share my exact profile settings.

Sure

But the processor is running at up to 3Ghz, not 800mhz

2.4 up to 3.0 GHz, 3 MB cache, 15 W

Apparently, in the "script" config it was set to 48 fps. And that crippled the tablet. So no svp for the tablet or my macbook it seems tongue

Gonna keep svp to my gaming pc which does 144 fps scaling just fluidly

I don't have an answer for your latest question, but I'd at least like to ask if you've tried the HD WebM formats as well?

there's no webm format for youtube. Only A+V mp4 and mp4.

I may have fixed it, but i need some guiding. So i found out that SVPtube works perfectly when only choosing MP¤ and not A+V MP4. But every time i copy a link, i have to manually set it to mp4 only. Is there a setting in "application settings" which i can edit to only choose mp4? Like how i made mpc hc the default player.

Umm, aren't we setting the threads here? My i7-4790k only has 4 cores (8 threads)

I had it manually set to 7 as only odd numbers are available to choose from for some weird reason (1, 3, 5, 7, 9 instead of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8

Apparently, setting the processing threads to auto fixed it :S No more manual threading for me on svp lol

Now only to fix the biggest issue, getting svptube 2 to properly work.

Issue 1 with it: mpc hc either only loads 10 sec and freezes at 5 sec, or loads the full video, but still freezes at 1 sec
Issue 2: the player svp comes with plays the full video, but in slow motion.

Is reinstalling of svp the only way to fix this? or is there a workaround for this?

found that solution aswell! V+A mp4 causes this bug and choosing only MP4 fixes it.

So conclusion: manually selecting threads causes slowdown in heavy activity in movies for local videos and V+A causes issues for youtube.

I did, and the performance was horrible lol. Gown to 86-97 most of the time

...I think we have different definitions of "horrible" - that's within spitting distance to be honest.  If you can get your display refresh rate to run at 2x of the source framerate (presumably 48Hz in this case) then I wouldn't be surprised if that would be enough (2x interpolation is quite a bit more intensive than 2.5x interpolation).

I meant the SVP index.

i just tried virtual desktop for htc vive and svp, it works marvelous when setting the fps to 90 for the movies, but i notived that the movie (pixels) slows down to slow motion while the audio continues fine and ends up darn delayed in the video when all the details came around. Is that normal? CAuse normally svp only uses 30% gpu and 43% cpu.
Even when not using virtual desktop, this happens. And you can also see that the gpu performance drops to only 3%.
