video drivers, maybe? Have you tried to disable h/w acceleration in browser?

Just did, and that worked, but why does mpc hc hinder hardware accel? Even euro truck sim's audio is muted when mpc hc plays.

No idea. But it works now for some reason with the new dll's

Thanks! big_smile It now works as it should.

It's apparently corrupted or something :S All i did the past few days was to get madvr to work for a 4k hdr video, but it crashes mpc hc on every try, so i deleted the 4k movie.

Could you perhaps send me yours?

this error is about SVP 4/plugins/libsvpflow*.dll are missing or can't be loaded for some reason

I would recommend to uninstall it fully, and then reinstall SVP.

I did. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Still the same :S Could you send me the missing plugin?

Edit: apparently they are already there, both of them o.O But could you send me them so i can replace them and see if it works?

Got this error just now. Any idea why? Was working fine a few days ago.

Yeah, found it already was installed, was just a bit tricky to find it'¨s settings. But doesn't help me that the 4k hdr movie causes mpc hc to crash instantly on playing.

what settings are these? Casuse mpc hc with madVR and ffdshow crashes when i press play on a 4k hdr movie.

So, i got a 4k hdr video, but to get the full quality, i need madvr codec to get it to show the black levels correct. But when i try to install it, i get this

   Installation succeeded.

Please do not delete the madVR folder.
The installer has not copied the files anywhere.

Copied the fodler to program files (x86) and ran the installer as admin as the readme said. Didn't work.

Nor do mpc hc want to play the video at all. I press play, but nothing happens even tho it says it's playing.

You mean - in the browser? Youtube won't play in the browser window until you stop local playback in mpc-hc?

Yeah, all browser based videos simply won't play unless i pause mpc, then refresh the video page.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7M1YMtGDg8

WEll, when i play videos in mpc hc, all videos on facebook and youtube (for example) simply won't play at all, buffering, but not playing when i play videos on mpc. and i have to pause the video, refresh the page, THEN the video plays.

After i gor SVP, i have to pause mpc hc every time i want to watch something. It's really annoying. Is there a settings that forces videos on the internet to not play when i play something on mpc hc?

I support this 100%!

Would be awesome if we could use the best optimized settings and convert for example a gameplay of a console game and interpolate it to 60 big_smile

The natural player thing does cpu only

SVP supports GPU acceleration.

but not for some laptops tho. My laptop has 980m, but unfortunately nvidia optimus, and for some reason, it doesn't use my gpu at all.

No one knows? hmm

whenever i wanna watch  video on facebook, or youtube, the video buffers, but doesn't play. But if i pause mpc hc with svp, refreshes youtube, then it plays.

Any fix for this? Or can it be sent to the svp devs? This started yesterday.

Just reinstalled windows last night, and when i reinstaleld SVP now, then the program won't detect my 1080 at all? All drivers are ofcourse up to date.

Anyone else knows? Cause i don't want the 10 bucks for an extra licence go to waste, cause the laptop i have doesn't have the best cpu cooler, so it ends up getting really hot as of now, and would be much better to let the gpu take off the worst load.

Chainik wrote:

> And is that with a 4k movie?

sure

As in yes? CAuse i got a 4k movie to test with, and with my settings, even mpc hc crashes after a while of stuttering.

Chainik wrote:

too heavy
"half pixel" precision is not needed for 4k
just press the "automatic" button already big_smile

even my laptop with i7-6820HQ @3.0 GHz with AMD R7 M370 graphics can handle it at 60% CPU load
(MPC-HC 64-bit, EVR-CP renderer, hw video decoder is active)

There's no "automatic" button. Or do you basically mean choose the original automatic? BEcause that gives the same result.

And is that with a 4k movie? or 1080p?`CAuse it's 4k that i want to interpolate.

What SVP Settings are you using? I fixed the performance issues I was having with 4K videos already by using MPC x64 and changing the settings below.

I'm running a GTX 1070 and a 4790K @ 4.6Ghz on a Sony X800D 4K HDR TV.

First of all, you want to right click SVP and go to "Video Frame" and select "Keep Normal Size".

http://i.imgur.com/9CDlp0N.png

Second of all, I use the settings below for 4K videos, you don't need to have 3X Movie Frame Rate selected, just choose to SCREEN. The most important aspect, is to keep "Decrease Grid Step" on DISABLED.

http://i.imgur.com/36Cg9nm.png

I posted as links instead of images because on normal 1080p screens those images would take a lot of space for most people.

EDIT - MUST DO THESE:

I forgot, in Madvr Settings go to Devices (Left Menu) --> Choose your TV/Monitor --> Properties --> Under 3D Format, choose None.

Go to Rendering (Left Menu) --> Stereo 3D --> Disable ALL.

Go to Processing (Left Menu) --> Artifact Removal --> Disable BOTH.

Go to Scaling Algorithms (Left Menu) --> Image Downscaling --> Choose Lanczos (3 Taps).
--------------------------------------------- > Chroma Upscaling --> Jinc (Tick enable ONLY activate anti-ringing filter).
--------------------------------------------- > Image Upscaling --> Jinc (Tick enable BOTH activate anti-ringing filter & scale in sigmoidal light).

These are the settings i normally use

http://puu.sh/thurp/f9520070e7.png

Was already on normal size.

WEll, if i even can manage to have a fluid 2x movie rate, that would work for me in 4k.

Decrease grid step was on disabled by default

Where do i find madVR settings?

From my own tests with AMD FX-8310 wink the best option is MPC-HC 64-bit

plus some obvious suggestions:
- GPU video decoding is a must
- leave SVP settings on "automatic"
- madVR is on your own, start with EVR

Gpu decoding is on in mpc hc
Just did
Mad vr is on "my own"?

And is this how it's gonna be?

Damnit, clicked quote instead of edit..

Did you make sure to add ffdshow raw video filter to the external filters page of MPC-HC? Go into the options, find External Filters on the left hand side and add filter ffdshow raw video filter.

Without it, SVP won't function.

Thanks! now it works smile
