Would it be possible to get an option in SVP to turn HAGS off? It's needed for certain functions (DLSS 3 Frame Generation) and I really don't want to have to turn it off and restart my pc every time I watch a movie.

Does this showing up in the command line mean I need to change something?

"Your ONNX model has been generated with INT64 weights, while TensorRT does not natively support INT64. Attempting to cast down to INT32."

If I choose any setting above RIFE 4.9 and/or above Movie 2x (even 50fps) it becomes an unwatchable, stuttery mess.

Have you tried setting a different frame.resize limit? I set mine to -23041260 (median of 1080p/HD and 2160p/4k/UHD) and I can watch 4k-HDR-movies at x2 frames on a 4070 with about 80-90% GPU (DDR4, i9 12900KF) using RIFE 4.15v2/2 GPU threads.

I managed to fix the 3840x2144 problem.. It was a setting in one of the LAV filters menus for MPC-HC.

are you using v2 and "performance boost" enabled with your 4090 ?

Yes, the frustrating thing is at Movie x2 I'm only using 60-70% of my GPU and 20% of my GPU, but if it is indeed a bandwidth limitation of my system, it makes sense it would chug if I increase the settings at all when I am close to that limit.

It is possible I have something configured incorrectly. Is it as simple as placing the extracted RIFE models in the correct folder, then selecting them in SVP RIFE settings? One thing that has been bugging me is when the command prompt pops up setting the timing, I see it says something about f32 timing being unable to continue and selects f16. The command prompt also says resolution of 3840x2400 when I'm running at 3800x2160, which may help explain my poor performance. I looked for a way to change that setting but I haven't found it anywhere.

My RAM is 6600mhz at CL30 so could potentially be ram? Also I'm using MPV not MPClassic?

The SVP wiki states MPC-HC is more performant at 4K HDR, which is my use case. Somebody earlier told me it was a bandwidth limitation, which seems to likely be the case. Switching to MPV would not solve this problem, and I am unfamiliar with the settings. I will stick with Movie 2x, Rife 4.9, and MPC-HC as moving to newer RIFE filters becomes an unwatchable stuttery mess (I seem to be right up against the bandwidth limit) and going above Movie 2x using RIFE 4.9 (even Movie 50FPS) also leads to an unwatchable mess. I do not want to sacrifice visual quality for more frames either. I want to stick with full 4K resolution at the highest framerate I can, and Movie 2x is still a dramatic improvement. I paid for and ripped 4K blu rays, so I'm watching 4k blu rays.

Ah, ok. I'm running 4K HDR Movie x2 on my 4090. I'll stick to RIFE 4.9 then.

Is it normal for any of the RIFE filters above 4.9 to have worse performance than 4.9? I can run 4.9 at Movie x2, but any of the newer ones cannot run that setting for me - even the v2 ones.

Windows 11/Chrome/NordVPN. I go to download the 4.15.7 7zip file and it does not allow me to. Interestingly, I just tried again and it allowed me to download it this time. No idea.

The default AV is Windows Defender which is not terrible, but also not great. But I think in your case you are using Edge browser which probably means it was being blocked by Microsoft SmartScreen which is cloud based.

Nah, not using Edge. I updated my chipset drivers and it worked. No idea. Doesn't matter. Any difference between Rife v2, normal, and ensemble?

I'm using MPC-HC with Vapousynth as that is what was recommended on the SVP instructions and by Chanik to me here in the forum for DV at 4k HDR. Whether DV is working or not I will not be getting 300fps at 4K HDR with RIFE either way, and that's not what I'm going for. While my main monitor is 4K HDR 160fps, the tv I watch movies on is 4k 60fps, so I'm going for maximum visual quality at that resolution and framerate.

Try to play around with resize maybe?

I'm going for Dolby Vision at 60fps, so I probably won't get close to those settings. I don't want to sacrifice visual quality for framerate. Since my GPU is at 70% usage, I will more likely need to try 4.15 to get to 60fps, but when I went to download it my virus software told me it is a trojan, and I'd rather not have to edit the registry just for this.

it's not your GPU fault, the cause is the DDRAM's BW bottleneck (this was confirmed) or even the Vapoursynth bottleneck, we don't know for sure.

instead of x3 you can try a better quality model like Rife 4.9 or 4.15 x2

Ahhh, ok. That makes much more sense to me. I was having the stuttering performance at 50fps, but only 70% GPU usage at x2 (48fps). I have been using 4.9 but will look into 4.15. Thank you guys! Doing the lord's work. Let me know if I can assist in any way by testing!

Rife v4.15 is out. It is a clear improvement over previous models for reducing double images in fast movement. I need to do some testing but I think it uses a little more GPU than previous models because even with v2 my GPU never drops below 100%. Packet drops sometimes happen when starting or when FF/REW but settles down quickly with no further drops during playback. No obvious regressions from previous tests.

where is it available ?

x2.5 needs TWO times more GPU power than x2

Ah, so it is normal behavior. Good to know, thanks. It may be worth updating the wiki to state the 4090 is only capable of Movie 2x/48fps with RIFE. Additionally, is it possible to select specific framerates to gain more performance? Id like to reach the highest I can within 49-59fps since I'm only using 70% of my GPU, and Movie x2.5 is too demanding.

Hello all, I have been working to figure out a RIFE performance issue I've had. I have a 7800x3D and a 4090. Because the guide stated a 4090 should be capable of 10-bit HDR at 60fps, that was my goal - however, no matter what I did, I could not hit that target. I kept experimenting though, and here's what I learned: the setup I have can do up to Movie 2x at 10 bit 4K HDR with RIFE. At Movie 2x, my CPU is sitting comfortably at a steady 19-21% usage and my GPU is steady at 70% usage. With these results, I was hoping to be able to hit 60fps by increasing the framerate. Increasing to Movie 2.5x (or any setting higher than Movie 2x - 10 bit or not, no matter the thread count, no matter the AI model) causes everything to slow to a choppy mess where the GPU and CPU load both increase and drop incrementally. The attached photo shows the performance graphs - the smooth one is Movie 2x, and the choppy spike one is Movie 2.5x. I'd like to know if this is appears to be normal behavior when RIFE is maxed out or perhaps a problem/bug with the RIFE implementation. If it is normal behavior, I'd also like to know if there is a way to pick a specific framerate (50, for example) to try and squeeze out some more performance, since every frame counts below 60fps. Switching the number of threads, AI model, or turning 10 bit HDR off makes no meaningful difference. I am happy to provide logs/test further if someone is willing to take the time to walk me through it. Thank you for your time, and I hope this helps anyone who has been experiencing similar issues with RIFE.

Ah ok. I will only update through SVP then. Thank you.

Hello, I've been trying to figure out why I've been having issues with SVP and MPC-HC. It turns out that installing MPC-HC through SVP works great, but I always updated MPC-HC after the install and then would be unable to find the Avisynth/Vapoursynth filters in the list, and of course SVP no longer works with it after the update (even only replacing the .exe). Would this be considered a SVP problem or an MPC-HC problem? I'd like to be able to update MPC-HC, but at least with this post I can inform other users who have experienced the same issues.

Ah bummer. I was told the only way I could get Dolby Vision to work with RIFE was through MPC, using the MPC internal video renderer, with Vapoursynth and LAV filters. Do you mind explaining how to turn it/them off?

I have an I7-8086K and a RTX 4090. I watch movies on MPC-HC with Vapoursynth, MPC internal renderer, and Internal LAV filter. My performance is very odd, with huge spikes then dropping to zero. It is making movies unwatchable. It is not an issue when SVP is not running. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I ended up uninstalling both, then letting svp install mpc-hc through it's installer. I then updated mpc-hc and it appears the issue has been solved. Thank you for your time, and this amazing program. I can't wait to upgrade my cpu so I can get 60fps on all my movies. I'll put a good word out about SVP any chance I get!

Vapoursynth is also not in the list of filters for some reason, despite being installed and set as preferred in the external filters list.

I did before I screenshotted that pic. It will not auto activate without me going in and selecting it for every video, even if I select it then close MPC-HC.

I think I figured out my issue. On mine, the active decoder shows <inactive> and I have to select the LAV Video Decoder in the list you showed every time I start up MPC-HC. I'm guessing there is a setting I need to change somewhere so it defaults to the LAV Video Decoder.

Ahhh, ok. Does the MPC video renderer use the internal LAV filter? when I use MPC and Vapoursynth it doesn't show any hardware acceleration for the internal video renderer (Unless I shouldn't see DXVA2-Copy-Back being used in the internal video decoder). It doesn't seem to enable the internal LAV filter by default for some reason. Thank you for the reply.
