Are you talking about this guide?

Thank you for the reply. I have already seen this guide and turned on remote control. However, I can't use it. Seems the remote control isn't really getting turned on. As you can see in the screenshot I attached earlier, it says there is an error executing the help page. I was wondering if you could tell me how to fix it. I have tried turning it off and on several times, and restarting SVP.

Hello, I turned on Remote control in SVP settings, but I can't find a proper guide to understand how to use it. I tried clicking the Help hyperlink below it, but it does nothing. I also tried to find something on the SVP manual, but no luck. I read somewhere that I can access the web api with http://127.0.0.1:9901/ but when i visit the page, nothing appears. I have attached the logs that suggest there is an error accessing the help page.

Can anyone provide a link to the help page or manual where I can understand how to use this feature properly.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys! So, I already purchased SVP for Windows but I've been using Ubuntu as dual boot and want to set up SVP there as well. Everything went find and I got vapoursynth and everything working fine. The only problem is mpv does not install after building. Everything works as expected until the rebuild -j4 command. After that, when I type sudo ./install in the mpv-build directory, the following message appears.

install data not found. run this command in build directory root.

Any idea what may have caused this?

If you can't help me with this, could you at least give me a rundown on how to build mpv so I could check if I am doing anything wrong. I followed the steps in SVP's guidelines but am stuck in this last bit.

Sooo, I just installed an ultralite version of windows and svp seems to be working more smoothly and the issue is fixed too. Here's hoping that it doesn't come back.

Thanks for the reply, but I've already tried that. I tried setting a higher motion vectors grid, which should mean worse video quality but better performance but same result.

I have also tried different shaders but same result. Could you tell me which settings affect the performance most? I'll try to tweak those and check.

No, I haven't touched any power settings, but I read an article online that says that overall system temperature increases while it's plugged in, which decreases the performance, and I think that's what's happening here. The manual settings probably require more computing power than my PC can handle.

I guess I'll have to stick to the automatic profile then.

Hi guys! Been using SVP for a while and it's excellent but ran into a weird problem with my laptop. SVP works fine with advanced options and override.js modifications while I'm on battery, but as soon as I plug the charger in, the video starts lagging with manual options.

The lag goes away if I switch to the Automatic profile and remove the override.js modifications.

So, i was wondering what is causing this lag only while charging, and if there is any way to fix it. Also, I was wondering if there is an option in the SVP GUI to disable override.js temporarily so I don't need to manually go and edit the file everytime my charger is connected or disconnected.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have been using SVP for about a month and the experience is great for me, but I only have a small issue. My laptop starts overheating like crazy after a while. I even bought an external cooler but it still doesn't help.

So, I was wondering if there was a way to change some SVP settings to minimize this issue.

I should mention that my laptop isn't a very strong one and my GPU is the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. I already know I should upgrade my hardware, so please don't suggest that. Right now, I am only looking for a way to minimize the heating as much as I can with SVP.

I am currently using Potplayer with Avisynth and Lav filters.

Here is my full PC specs:

Processor - Intel Core i5 8265U 8th Generation
RAM - 12GB
GPU - Intel UHD Graphics 620
OS - Windows 11 Home

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
