This's very simple process - SVP is making frames and video player is renedering them.
There're no options for video player to reduce artifacts created by SVP other than
a) drop some (intermidiate) frames
b) blend frames
If you set 4x in SVP then MPDN probably blends each ~2 frames so it may (or may not) look like fewer artifacts.

BTW I tried MPDN about 3 month ago and I wasn't impressed at all

Ну а сам плеер - скромненько, страшненько 
это демонстрация технологии разработанного рендерера, а не плеер на каждый день.

do you see that "ffdshow" square and "renderer" square are different ones?
How exactly does this work?
And what renderer was set before you changed it? 
Cause it's supposed to be EVR-CP right after SVP installation.
1. Ensure that both video is rendered and SVP is working through NV card, not on i7's integrated one
2. Try to switch between plain EVR, EVR-CP and madVR video renderers

2. scroll down to "Mobile / Download (Save link as...): 1280x720.mp4 - 640x360.mp4 - 320x180.3gp"
3. right-click, "copy link address"
4. MPC-HC -> Open file -> paste the URL
5. PROFIT!
Ну у меня то работает, на в два раза более слабом железе, по каждому показателю
Я бы все-таки предложил бы MPC-HC, и рендер поставить простой EVR, для определенности.
И что бы совсем наверняка - временно выключить аппаратное декодирование.
Potplayer обязательно надо патчить "4gb patch".
Ну и обязательно сделать отдельный профиль для 4к, и начать с настроек как на картинке.
Какое железо, какие настройки? Больше фактов!

it isn't a "filter" but a "preset" for SVP

since they are not installed to their regular folders when installed as part of the SVP package
LAV filters aren't installed by SVP at all as they're bundled with MPC-HC
