Once again - check what's going on with memory usage in the Windows Task Manager. How much memory is free before SVP launch, what is peak usage at the moment of crash.
You could also post here more detailed information about the crash found in Event Viewer.

Наверное на промежуточные кадры, ключевые должны оставаться как есть, да?
Тогда профит должен быть примерно такой же, как от GPU vs. CPU построения в SVP (потому что на GPU все считается в float).
Только SVP рожает новые кадры, ему некоторая фантазия простительна, а декодер выстраивает имеющиеся.
И чего, вот прямо после декодера лучше чем перед кодером?

я имел в виду что то, что сжимается в Hi10p, исходно все-равно 8-битное

There're two different wmplayer.exe's in 64-bit Windows and SVP will work in one and won't work in another.

This's an interesting idea.
WMP 32-bit is used for previews and downloaded .mp4 files are associated with WMP 64-bit.
You can check actual version running in the Task Manager.

What do you mean by "SVP doesn't launch"?
WMP isn't opens at all? Or it doesn't plays any video? Or video plays but SVP isn't active (which means ffdshow decoder isn't in use)?
I think i made svp player work with VLC as it sometimes writes svp: playback, but I don't know for sure lol
