Topic: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

My svp could not load rife a.i engine with modern .mkv by default.
Basically I have the same issue as this post
https://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=7385

For older videos like .mp4, and super awful 480 resolution, it turned on rife a.i engine by default.

I can still use it but everytime I switch a new movie I have to manually set the profile at svp..
Also it prompt me a warning... Vapoursynth is needed... I have no idea what this is.

I followed some google guides and manage to add it in mpc-hc settings > external filters..
Still prompt me that it requires it after I switch to rife ai engine..

I really do not know what I am doing wrong or if theres anything wrong on my pc..

Any help would be appreciated thank you.
I am not it savvy..

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

uncheck "Avisynth Filter"
run SVP menu - Utilities - Set environment variables for Vapoursynth

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

I did this, now every time I run a video, it will have to run about 1 minute on a dos window, the video will hanged for a minute too. I cant pause or stop, if I did, mpc-hc will crashed.
Is this normal?

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

wait for the process to complete...

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

It takes 1 minute for every open video, and the video cannot be pause, it will hang. After the dos run finish.. My media is hang because I paused it. And have to reopen and run the dos for a minute again.

If I do not pause, I will miss out the video infront that is playing?

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

turn off "performance boost"

---
anyway, console command must be run ONCE
if it fires every time you open a specific video, then probably there's some error in the process
check the log

Re: Problem with RIFE A.I Engine.

Yes correct that is what I meant, it runs everytime. I will try to get the log, do I just copy the thing from dos?

Also, I tried with a new movie today, apparently it doesn't need to run the dos.. Because I am on a totally new PC, and I had it straight on my new SSD too..

The movies that are needed are old movies from an older HDD. I am not sure if this is the case as the HDD was tie to an older pc, should I gain complete control of that?

I will update here after testing a few new movie first.
