Topic: SVP on Android can't find files when using SVPcast

I wanted to try the SVPcast feature of SVP.

I have SVP running on my Linux PC, installed from AUR with svp-bin package. I went through the steps in PC setup and I selected the videos folder. In my Android app I can see SVPcast entry with local IP of my PC. The problem is that I can't see any file - "No suitable files here" (see attached screenshot). The selected folder has *.mkv files, and I am able to see them with the web UI.

won't work with Linux version

Why so?

Re: SVP on Android can't find files when using SVPcast

most obvious - it's free on SVPlayer's end because it's paid on SVP's end

Re: SVP on Android can't find files when using SVPcast

What you are saying does not make sense. SVP is free to use on Linux. If you want to lock the frame rate conversion behind a paywall, then make the SVPcast option available only for users who paid for either SVP or SVPlayer. I already paid for ability to watch videos with frame generation. Linux support was guaranteed. I wasn't informed that a specific feature won't work with Linux.

But my question is not about why is it free or paid, but about why is Linux version so different? It generally does work, but has minor bugs like the one mentioned above. Is the Linux version deprecated? Why isn't there any information about it being different from the other versions? Why don't you keep the Linux version up to date with the other versions?

because we don't have to
it has lowest priority upon other tasks

and you're using this ability, right?
