Topic: Question on using Black bar removal only

Hello, I am only using the black bar removal as the title says, I want to preserve as much of the video as I can so best settings I can figure are:
Crop video frame: 16:9
Alter video frame size: Disabled

I am using an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio monitor with this, and that seems to do the trick. Please let me know if there is something further I need to adjust.

Further, this is setup for plex, with 4k HDR content. Does the black bar removal impact HDR/Quality?

Thanks!

Re: Question on using Black bar removal only

1. Blsck bars removal not impact to HDR. It is just removing of black pixels from sides.
2. Black bars removal impact to quality. Black pixels at frame borders makes border artifacts at picture and when you remove black bars you eliminate these artifacts. Pisture quality is better with black bars removal.

Also, you can try function Fill black bars (Black bars lighting). I like the effect of it.
