Good job. Do you notice that it went faster or not? I had not loaded CPU with 1-st method hence it was slow.
You might want to slightly increase threads count and decrease RAM usage to 3GB at least. Check your CPU temps while encoding, it shouldn't go above 90C.

In hybrid try button Avisynth Preview. If window opens with frames then it is correct one.
Try ignoring audio in that case or encode to mp4 etc,

Maybe it didn't work because Avisynth was busy by that process you ended later.
I would clean laptop from dust and repaste CPU with MX-4/Gelid GC Supreme/Extreme. 95C 24/7 is really bad. So either that or downclock processor few hundred MHz.

Yes, there is a way of saving settings but oh my, you may forget something crucial even in this simple task. How many times you missed what was written by me in black letters on white background? Including the one about encoding only a part of the video until you iron out technique? Man, I give up on you.
Wait till it finishes (at 250% or so) because I am not sure if Hybrid/encoder automatically adjusted fool-proof mode but if resulted video will look like in slowmo then you know what was the reason. And if not then you are a lucky one.

He's talking about the "Natural Grounding Player" which somewhat simplified converting videos to 60fps, but it's CPU only. Further, much like the AviSynth guide, it doesn't work in Windows 10.
By default it enables GPU if madVR is activated under the Natural Grounding Player's settings -- this definitely should be changed, especially now that the media encoder is a separate app.
Without knowing this, you can custom-edit your script to add the GPU parameter.
And yes it works under Windows 10. I'm aware however that some x86 Visual C++ dependencies aren't currently being installed during setup, this will be fixed in the next release.
I recently discovered that my 9-year old netbook looks to use an IPS panel; all my other laptops seem to use TN of some sort with really crappy black levels (which is sad since that's actually IPS's weak point!).
As a sucker for good contrast ratios and black levels, this is very relevant to me. Problem is, that netbook is so underpowered that doing real-time SVP is completely out of the question (Intel 945GMA iGPU + Intel Atom N270 1c/2t @ 1.6GHz).

I too would greatly appreciate such a guide; I just hope it doesn't assume we all want 60fps in h.264 at the source video resolution, particularly since my netbook can't do 720p h.264 @ 60fps - I have to settle for 576p xvid @ 60fps, though I prefer to crop the right & left a bit so I can use the display's full 1024x600.
However, because it uses old Intel graphics, I can't run it at anything other than 60Hz unless I use Linux (which has video playback that's quite a bit slower than Windows when using 10+ year old GPU hardware). Therefore, I want to do the crazy thing of interpolating 25fps and 50fps videos to 300fps and then resampling the frame rate by 1/5 back down to 60fps - this gives a much smoother result than doing 1.2x or 2.4x interpolation directly to 60fps.
Probably the feature I am the most excited for! (pro user)
Doing that requires plugins for intelligent opening of video files (LSMashSource works good), FFMPEG for encoding, and a handful of other things. This would greatly increase the size of the redistributable files.
