Topic: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

When I open SVPlight settings and set it to Prismatik is says OK in the hardware section, but only the first 10 LEDs ever light up in the settings box, and when I try turning SVPlight on with video playing none of them light up at all.

I'm using 0.9.4, and 5.10.5 of Prismatik.  Hardware is Adalight.  Is it just a matter of waiting for a newer version of Prismatik?

how much LEDs do you have?
have you imported settings from any Prismatik profile?

are first 10 LEDs working in the "Adjust" tab of SVPlight settings window?
what is Prismatik configuration? could you attach here some files from %homepath%\Prismatik folder?

'main.conf' plus .ini files from 'profiles' sub-folder

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

I have 50 LEDs total.  When I import my settings from Prismatik it adds 50, but most of them are stacked in the top left corner.

The 10 that do light up in the different colours seem to be working, as they light up brighter when I mouse over them, but even manually adding 50 it's still only 10 that work.

hmm  hmm
there're strange capture areas coordinates in your .ini file
do you have several monitors and LEDs're attached to the second one?

it looks like an error in Prismatik's remote API engine
i need to check

found the similar issue on their issues tracker - https://code.google.com/p/light-pack/is … tail?id=34

so please try this solution:
1. manually set "number of light zones" in SVPlight to 50, click on "set" link (to avoid SVPlight's import bug)
2. open Prismatik, change number of LEDs to any value and then back to 50 (to avoid Prismatik's remote API bug)
3. test lights in SVPlight

===
it's very easy to test w/o SVPlight at all

run Prismatik
Win+R - type 'cmd' to open console window
type

telnet 127.0.0.1 3636

it'll show "Lightpack API blah-blah"
type

lock

type

setcolor:40-255,0,0;

it should light up 40th LED with red color

Yes, my TV is connected as my second display.  I tried setting up the Prismatik zones on my primary monitor and importing into SVPlight, and that mostly seemed to work as far as the zone layout went.

Tried this with no luck, still only 10 lighting up.  Is there a way to change the number of LEDs in Prismatik other than running the configuration wizard again, as that's what I did.

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

yeah, they've simplified UI in the latest versions  mad

so try to set LEDs color with direct API from cmd window
I suppose it 'll work for LEDs number 1-10 and won't work for others

I'll contact Lightpack developers in that case wink

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

just forgot to say if lights are off you need to turn them on first with the command

setstatus:on

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

Yep, turning them on via telnet works up until number 10, any higher than that and it just returns "error."

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

So the only option now is to use some old middle-2013 version that allows to set number of leds on the fly

Re: SVPlight not working with Prismatik (Adalight)

I have a question: Are there any plans for supporting more ambilight systems? I have a "sedu-ambilight" (using 48 channels and 48 LEDs at the moment)  which is not supported by svp light or prismatik.

Especially lightpack seems for me to be one of the poorer ambilight systems with using only a few "LEDs" and I 'm wondering why it is supported by default while more powerfull systems aren't supported or only with prismatik?

Not now. May be. May be not smile

why it is supported by default while more powerfull systems aren't supported or only with prismatik?

Cause Lightpack is the only complete system in production anyone can buy.

And, well, we're Russians and they're Russians too big_smile
