Topic: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

GPU acceleration was working fine on my machine with a ATi 5870 and a old Nvidia 8800GT. Just upgraded to a GTX680 with the 301.11 drivers and SVP 3.1.2 but when I enable GPU acceleration it fails:

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

flagger

SVSmoothFps: unable to init FlowLib [code 0x50000]

Yes. GTX 680 is not compatible with SVP / SVPmark.
Sorry for that. NVIDIA changed something in drivers for GTX 680.
We have not any GTX 680 to debug and fix the problem.

The only way for now is to turn off GPU-acceleration in SVP on GTX 680.

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

Thanks, I look forward to the next release

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

It should work with 21th and 23th SVP shaders.

Assuming that you already have that patch installed try this one: copy attached file to "SVP_install_dir/Plugins" folder.

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

Hi Chainik,

Without the new svpflow_gpu.dll file, using shader 23 (complicated), it worked but had some weird flashing/stutter issue every 1 second.

With the new svpflow_gpu.dll file, same settings it works well now big_smile

edit: changed shader to 13  (standard) and it works fine too. Cheers, you guys are really quick at responding to bugs.

Yes they all work.

Can I ask you to also check an update for SVPmark? smile
You need to replace the attached file in "SVPmark 3\data" folder.

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

Edit: Doh just noticed it's the comparison systems.... lol

Just noticed in the results screen in SVPMark it detects the wrong GPU:

Orange result is your. Blue results - are other system's results to compare with your. wink

See "My scores" tab to know how your GPU detected and named.

Re: [FIXED] GTX680 and acceleration

Fixed in SVP pre-3.1.2 patch, SVPflow 1.0.5 and SVPmark 3.0.3a
