Topic: Using SVP with higher playback speeds?

Hi, I'd like to use SVP on 23.976 fps videos running at 3x playback speed on a 119.88 hz refresh rate monitor, so 23.976 x3 = 71.928 fps, so = 2 interpolated frames between every 3 real frames. Is this supported?
Thank you

Re: Using SVP with higher playback speeds?

Yes. You can do it with SVP. Use x3 multiplier in SVP profile: Movie frame rate x3

Re: Using SVP with higher playback speeds?

Isn't the profiles multiplier for conversion rate?
What I mean is a video already at 3x playback speed before SVP, like fast forwarding effect. So using x3 of 23.976 video as the basis for interpolation.
Something like <frame 1> - <frame 1 + 50%> - <frame 2> - <frame 2 + 50%> - <frame 3> and repeating, so a 3:2 ratio of real to interpolated frames like R - I - R - I - R

So for 23.976 x3 I would need 1.6 conversion rate to match 119.88 hz refresh rate if possible

Sorry if I misunderstood

Re: Using SVP with higher playback speeds?

Just use x3 and it will work. For example I use x6 for 144hz display (its actually 165 but x6 multiplier is superior)

Bonus points for forcing exact rate with CRU

Re: Using SVP with higher playback speeds?

I understood now.
You can playback video in MPC-HC player at x3 speed. SVP will detect it and properly interpolate to desire framerate.
Your example 24 fps --- speedup x3 --> 72 fos --- interpolate x2 --> 144 fps

But you need to allow SVP to interpolate high framerate sources:
Open SVP profile "Ignore HFR sources" and change condition: increase value of Video frame rate from 47 to 80, for example.
