Topic: What kind of CPU is needed for 4K120?

What kind of CPU is needed for 4k30 to 4K120 at the highest quality?

Currently using a 4770K with an RTX 3080.

Even with GPU acceleration, Nvidia Optical Flow and NVDEC  in MPV, I am still suffering from massive frame drops. Basically, I can't use SVP at all with 4K content.
I know my CPU is weak, but I thought the workload could be offloaded to the GPU.

What kind of CPU do I need to enable 4k120?

I also find seeking with SVP on slows down significantly, even when reset on seek is set at "don't reset"
Any other settings to improve this?

Thanks

8-core Ryzen is good even w/o NVOF wink

turn off App. settings -> Add. options -> Allow output in 10-bit color depth

switch to AVSF - https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Avisynth_Filter_(AVSF)

Does Ryzen CPUs support software decoding of 4K 10 bit hevc?? I cannot find this anywhere. Everyone writes that only models with APU but I need to know ie 3900/ 5900 can do it? I’m trying to avoid to do hardware decoding, especially when using with SVP Pro. It might be too much for GPU, I think...
