MADVR runs usually on the primary GPU, so 2080ti Primary.

SVP has the option to select the GPU it should use.
Right click on SVP symbol -> Application Settings -> GPU acceleration -> Select Secondary GPU. (1070ti)

Maybe it is coil whine of your graphics card or power supply.
run a "hardware light" game in windowed mode while svp is running.
if the noise changes or disappears the noise comes from the voltage converters: coil whine.
It comes from the strong load fluctuations that svp can generate (load-no load-load etc.).
Except for the annoying noise no negative effect is to be expected.

Just to check if this file also causes problems with other gpus / drivers, since now all other films run without problems on my setup

Did a reset of SVP MADVR and everything is working without freezes or crashes etc.

Exception, one single Movie: Sicario 2. This Movie triggers a BSOD (GPU ACCEL ON) within the first 10minutes.
Maybe something is wrong with this exact release.

@Chainik: Are you interested in this exact release for investigation?

Had no luck.
Tested Settings above, changed psu, completely removed driver again with ddu in safe mode...

i think i will upgrade to a rtx 3080 (with 20gigs, when they become avaliable)...

(Ps. MPV is working without crashing the system. but i couldnt find infos, how to use 3d luts for projector calibration)

Hi Everyone

Recently I got a free vega 64 strix, which I used to replace the 290x in my HTPC.
If SVP GPU acceleration is enabled, the system will crash after about 5 to 60 minutes, Bluescreen - THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER.

I use MPHC with MadVr and either ffdshow raw or the new Avisynth filter.

Without SVP GPU acceleration but with MadVr maxed out, and hardware decoder on, everything works.
Furthermore I have not found any game, benchmark or power virus that I can use to create a blue screen.
Driver were completely removed and reinstalled.

I have already searched the English Forum, but found nothing about it. Is this problem already known? Is there a possible solution?
Otherwise I have to switch back to 290x until the next GPU.

Thank you.

Installed Avisynth 3.6+ Downloaded the rar and registered avsf.

The Bad:
Without avsf 10bit ->  P010 10bit
With avsf 10bit -> NV12 8bit

The Good:
No Hangs, no crashes, runs smooth

Tested in MPCHC and Potplayer (Without Pot Native)
is there something i could try?

@Blackfyre: Only for People using MadVr (Projector calibration with 3dlut & lens control)

Edit:
Resolved, With GPU Accel on, 10bit works, with CPU only, not (8bit).

> not possible, not only because SVP's plugins for Avisynth supports 8-bit only, but because nothing changed on PotPlayer's side

Sad, then PotPlayer, MadVr and SVP's reporting is wrong.

I assume that somewhere some kind of dithering is active, even i deactivated it everywhere?

Is there a Player which works with both, SVP and MadVr without these limits?
The thing is i need MadVr for the Display calibration (3D Lut) and have not found an affordable alternative.

Maybe does someone here know a good alternative?

Hi

last evening I noticed that MadVr no more indicates an 8bit conversion in the status, and SVP also outputs the correct values in the report.
By looking to the changelog of Potplayer, there is a note: "Improved 10-bit output processing"

"Looks like a bottleneck somewhere inside PotPlayer, probably in 8bit->10bit conversion (because ALL the video filters including Avisynth are 8-bit only)"

Is it possible, that 10bit is now working? or are the reportings wrong and only 8bit is displayed?
Is there a to measure the displayed content?

I'm using Potplayer with Native Interface (PotPlayer, Avisynth, MadVr, SVP)
Using Potplayer's Internal Filters with DX11 Copyback.

thanks

I have tried:
AVX off, gpu 1 accel, crossfire off, all three svp manager versions.
AVX on, gpu 1 accel, crossfire off, all three svp manager versions.
AVX off, gpu 2 accel, crossfire off, all three svp manager versions.
AVX on, gpu 2 accel, crossfire off, all three svp manager versions.
crossfire on... etc.
Same result.

I have noticed that the gpus perftest results are a bit low (~1600) compared to earlier results i remember (~2100).
anyway with the r2455mt version the playback - with quality on medium - is smooth @70-90% cpu load on 4k HDR.
I will observe the behavior on all further updates (Potplayer, gpu driver etc.) and report it, if someting solves the problem.
thx for your help

Because of the jerky playback with gpu acceleration in the 32bit potplayer, I have tested the 64bit player (r2455MT) without gpu acceleration.
Interestingly, without gpu acceleration, the audio sync is correct.
The gpus are 2x amd 290x. gpu acc on second gpu. (first gpu is used by MadVr).
CPU is i7 5820k @4.2 ghz.

Thanks for that.
Actually i ment the 64 bit version.
I installed the 32 bit PotPlayer - without gpu acceleration it works. (with acceleration it's very choppy)
For 4K videos my 6core i7 is too slow.
I tested Vapoursynth in the 64 bit Potplayer. unfortunaley its also choppy. The MPV Player works very smooth, but the colorspace in HDR movies looks wrong, and mpv doesn't support Madvr.
If there's another player with native SVP support and MadVr i would change.

The Update of the Potplayer and SVP was at the same evening.
First i thought the problem was caused by the potplayer update. I completely removed it and installed it agin.
Unfortunately I do not know which version was stored in the potplayer directory.
The actual avisynth+ dll (2455) produces smooth playback, but the audio lags behind.
(Audio is set to Bitstream, no audioprocessing in Potplayer).
Unfortunately I have no idea witch component causes the problem.

I use the PotPlayer 64 Native with Avisynth. It worked very well (no colorspace problems Bt2020-> Madvr...)
Since the latest update to SVP 4.1.0.111 the audio isnt sync anymore. I had to switch back to MPCHC with ffdshow raw.....
Is there a chance to go back to previous svp versions? For example with an offline Installer? (on the License manager page i can only download the newest one).

thanks and sorry for the bad english.
