Looks like your CPU have some thermal issue, in my experience E3-1230 v2 is just capable of processing 4K video, with CPU utilization around 70%.
This is my test result.

Details: real-life /FHD

  decode video:                   16.18x (388.3 fps)
  48 fps - vectors search:        1.39x (66.5 fps)
  60 fps - frame composition:     3.85x (230.7 fps)
  48 fps - [SVP] fastest:         6.64x (318.7 fps)
  48 fps - [SVP] simple 1:        4.40x (211.1 fps)
  60 fps - [SVP] good:            2.40x (144.2 fps)

Not at small block sizes though.

My OC'd 4670k isn't top end, but I'd say it's way above average, and it struggles at 1080p with smaller block sizes.

Also, doesn't AMD have something called "clear motion"? I force enabled it recently, but I didn't see any visual difference in the video players I tried.

Have you tried blueskyFRC?  That one utilizes AMD Fluid Motion Video

just adding "play it with svptube" in right click menu would be great.

how is this different from "right click menu" -> "copy link address"?

right click to play = copy link + autoplay

somtimes you just copy link to share, and so don't want autoplay checked.
Now I have some other issues:
1. youtube playlist seams not working
2. subtitles are not displayed
3. mpc-hc and mpc-be will hang for a while before playing, but mpv can start instantly

could you write a chrome extension?
just adding "play it with svptube" in right click menu would be great.

Now we can use several browser extensions here
https://github.com/agiz/youtube-mpv
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefo … -with-mpv/
These extensions allow you to open youtube links with mpv.

I know what happened.
It take several seconds (or minutes) for mpv to start playing stream video, that makes SVP unable to extract video information.
So start SVP after mpv can force SVP to work.

I have another problem now.
I'm trying to use terminal command "mpv https://xxxx" to play youtube videos. But SVP will keep waiting.
The similar command "mpv [filepath]" will activate SVP.

How to play bdmv folders? I reinstalled mpv with bundle so that I can drag bdmv folders into mpv. But SVP won't work with the mpv app?

Edit: Sorry, my fault, I need to install with-libbluray

2635QM + HD 6490m

I can't get smooth playback on my 2011 15" mbp, even 720p video with scale setting to bilinear will drop frames occasionally.

Is this Vapoursynth version still using ffdshow?

I also have this issue but only when watching 4K videos and having the hw decode on.

Fixed! Rolled back my NVIDIA driver to version 361.43  Thanks for the input guys.

I don't know why, but every time after upgrading Windows 10, I got exactly the same error, but reinstall the driver can fix it, no need to roll back.

I find that Nvidia CUVID can work with SVP 64bit now. (32bit still freezes)
I'm using the latest driver(361.91) and LAV filter nightly(0.67.0.136) on Windows 10 14271.
I don't know which one settled the problem.

Thanks. I almost reset my Windows.

I found the error, it looks like something's wrong with Qt

I got a 0xc0000142 error when starting the SVPmanager.
Then I tried reinstalling the SVP, video card driver and VS redistribute 2013, but nothing helped.

Now I roll back to the 11102, everything back to normal again.

What about 10-bit h264 and 10-bit h265? Is it same?
Have you tried with different video player? Is it same?

This happens when using madVR 10bit output, no matter what the video is. I also tried MPDN, with 10bit outputs on, same thing happens

That's great.

Blackfyre wrote:

Which SVP Version are you using? With the full version of SVP 4 you'll be able to force refresh-rate. You could also do it with the older SVP which remains free.

Also I see you're up-scaling to 4K from the above. If you're up-scaling using Madvr, you could go to Madvr settings, expand 'rendering' menu on the left, go to 'smooth motion', tick enable 'smooth motion frame rate conversion' and choose 'always'... This usually eliminates whatever jitter (micro-stuttering) left over from the missing frames that fill the monitor refresh-rate without forcing SVP's FPS.

I've tried smooth motion from madVR, it blends scenes, SVP can do better than that. I just need to force the monitor refresh at 59.94 and let SVP play at 59.94.
But things went wrong in this part:

09:05:01.504 [i]: Screens: screen 0 - 3840x2160 @59.000 Hz [using Windows refresh rate], 192 PPI

I think SVP can retrieve refresh rate infomation from madVR, since madVR never fails to detect refresh rate. Or just guess a better refresh rate when detection fails, e.g. 23Hz=23.976Hz, 29Hz=29.97Hz, 59Hz=59.94Hz.

My screen refresh rate is set to exact 59.94Hz, and everything works fine when I use 8bit output.

09:05:14.593 [i]: Screens: updating information, 1 screen(s) found
09:05:18.215 [i]: Screens: screen 0 - 3840x2160 @59.940 Hz [measured], 192 PPI
09:05:18.215 [i]: Screens: primary screen is 0

09:05:18.215 [i]: Playback [30772]: 1 acceptible profiles, best is 'Automatic' [0]
09:05:18.215 [i]: Playback [30772]: keep previously selected profile 'Automatic'
09:05:18.215 [i]: Profile: using auto values [1]
09:05:18.217 [i]: Playback: playing at 59.94

But when using 10bit output, it seems that SVP can't detect the refresh rate, and uses 59.000Hz instead. Then stuttering begins.

09:05:01.504 [i]: Screens: screen 0 - 3840x2160 @59.000 Hz [using Windows refresh rate], 192 PPI

09:05:02.337 [i]: Profile: using auto values [1]
09:05:02.340 [i]: Playback: playing at 58.608

I think there might be a way to "tell" SVP, 59.000Hz actually means 59.94Hz.
