Nothing was changed since then.
Use the latest MPC-HC build with all internal decoders turned on.
Or just not use video formats with the (*) mark. You can just rename "mpc-hc.exe" to "mpc_hc.exe" to filter all that (*) formats

no, all we can is extract a playlist file but it's rather useless - you can't play it in a video player anyway

1 - we'll add it. Right now you can play with various frame buffers, especially in the video renderer part. madVR has rather huge buffer by default for example.

why with SVPtube, it just says "failed to render the file" in mpc-hc?

some YouTube clips are kind of "encrypted" and the current version of SVPtube can't handle those files correctly
