вот последние билды mpv, похоже, правильно кодируют левые частоты, а релиз 0.28 требует явного указания фиксированной частоты
ну и в наших библиотеках надо переделать, чтобы правильно выставлялась длительность кадра
тогда м.б. и получится
но юзабельно для переконвертации это будет только с mpv 0.29
возможно, проблема решаемая

тут с тупой переменной частотой кадров нет идей как вопрос решить... а вы про дропы
с логической точки зрения, пришло время вообще убрать Free и повысить цену на Pro
по результату самого ресайза одинаково, по скорости (ресайза) конечно лучше mpv (потому что делается на шейдерах на видяхе)
зато в 1-м случае SVP делает интерполяцию по кадру 4K вместо 720p
не уверен, что это что-то дает в плане качества

тут стоит понимать, что если бы SVP делал кто-то другой, то Free работало бы только полчаса, и показаывало рекламу каждые 5 минут

Use Display Driver Uninstaller, clear all graphics drivers (both Intel's and NV's) and the re-install them.

I mean - you don't need madVR's "smooth motion" if SVP already gives video with the exact screen refresh rate (not 59.94 but something like 60.135)

even 18.04 uses 5.9 out of the box

only the video renderer knows the exact vsync times
however you can set "To screen" + "Force the exact value" as a target rate in SVP

yep, but colors will be incorrect
10-bit -> 8-bit conversion is not so simple in case of HDR
ffdshow doesn't support 10-bit and won't pass HDR metadata to the renderer at the first place
as of now there're no known ways to watch HDR remuxes with SVP
