Topic: No Gpu-Acceleration/OpenCL

Hello All!!

The problem is that Gpu-acceleration is not enabled, or detected, in SVP manager ( GPU-Acceleration appears in grey color ). Neither can I check the GPU-Acelerated option in SVPMark.

I've installed SVP 3.0.4 Full, and all his components with it's defaults options.

The graphic card is a Radeon HD 4870, with 11.8 drivers. SO is Windows Xp Sp3.

I've checked OpenCL is installed with "Gpu_caps viewer". I don't know if its normal, but in the "OpenCL" window, it detects OpenCL 1.0 for the graphic card (ATI RV770), and 1.1 for the processor, wich is also AMD. In the main window, it's recogniced as "OpenCL(CPU)"...in the "GPU Computing" gaps. Some screenshots:

(I know CPU may not be powerful enough for all media, but that's not the topic)

Any help will be welcome. Thanks a lot!

Re: No Gpu-Acceleration/OpenCL

On the main page there's a link to GPU Compatibility list.

ATI 4000-series doesn't support some needed OpenCL extensions.

Re: No Gpu-Acceleration/OpenCL

I see... As some of the tasks were in green,I thoght It could be partially used...but now I noticed the red one is the one SVP needs...shit! lol

No doubt I need a full system upgrade... Thanks a lot anyway!!
