- Open the Start menu, type env, and choose Edit the system environment variables.
- Click the Environment Variables... button at the bottom.
- Under User variables, find the row named Path and click Edit.
- Click New and paste the exact file path to your target folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\SVP 4\mpv64).
- Click OK on all open windows to save your changes.
- Close and reopen SVP for the change to take effect.

Hi Chainik, thanks for following up.  I've already done what you instructed to do several times.  Please see my above post on "31-07-2026 12:57:24" and look at Screenshot (45).jpg.

If you need me to do something more specific, please let me know.

Re: SVP not working with SMplayer

there's no PATH variable on Screenshot (45).jpg

I've uploaded the screenshots of two versions of the fix-- One where I simply add the PATH to the existing mix (Screenshot 50), and one where I remove the others and just keep the single PATH you instructed me to add (Screenshot 51).  Neither of them work, same problem exists.  I've also uploaded the event log for the Screenshot 51 trial.

I don't mean to interfere with your help but (I think) you're putting the path in the wrong variable location.
Go to SYSTEM VARIABLES which is the bottom box.
Double click Path.
If I'm not mistaken, C:\Program Files\SVP 4\mpv64 & C:\Program Files\SVP 4\utils should be located there, not where you have it in USER VARIABLES.
Select NEW & browse to the locations to add them.

Nothing happens when I double click on "path" in SYSTEM VARIABLES.  I just get a bell sound and the option to click NEW is inactivated.

Re: SVP not working with SMplayer

I think it is very odd that the video would start playing in mpv, pause for a second, and then disapppear.  The first part, of course, happens when the app is working, that is, the initial pause is due to SVP kicking in before it displays the notification in the lower left regarding the video profile, FPS, etc.  But then it just vanishes (haha).  So it seems as though the video is trying to start, the SVP app beings to kick in, and there is the failure point.  Any ideas.  It looks from the last event log I sent that there is no longer a warning that the path to C:\Program Files\SVP 4\mpv64 is the problem.  I that what I am reading?  What could it be?
