Topic: Green screen flash at beginning of playback

At the beginning of playback, occasionally, maybe once a day, I notice a completely green screen that flashes for a half second and then the video plays. Anyone know why and how to prevent this?

Does the same green flash appear every time you play back the same file?

No, it only happens occasionally, maybe once per day. I can stop and start the same file numerous times without the green flash. Seems to happen on different files (mkv 4k UHD rips).

It’s likely a brief glitch during video initialization—possibly related to your graphics driver or video renderer. Updating your GPU drivers or switching the renderer (e.g., from DX11 to DX9 or OpenGL) in your media player settings may help fix it.
