Topic: SVPtube and Funimation

So Funimation recently came to my country (Brazil), but I can't get links to work with SVPtube, even though youtube-dl says it is supposed to work with the website (https://ytdl-org.github.io/youtube-dl/s … sites.html). I can't even try to add my account to SVPtube authentication, as it doesn't load any Funimation link. Thanks in advance.

Re: SVPtube and Funimation

For some reason now it recognizes some links, but I am getting an error, even after adding my account to SVPtube authentication. https://i.imgur.com/npoHpq1.png

Re: SVPtube and Funimation

if it doesn't work then we can do nothing about it
you may file a bug report on the youtube-dl's tracker
btw it's good to see youtube-dl official repo unblocked now smile

Re: SVPtube and Funimation

Well, I found similar issues in youtube-dl's github. But I don't know ho to make the fixes work in SVP Tube, instead of using youtube-dl as a standalone. As an example, if you want to take a look and see if it can be fixed: https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/issues/26905 https://github.com/anidl/funimation-dow … /issues/32

Re: SVPtube and Funimation

I can't see a working solution for youtube-dl there

Re: SVPtube and Funimation

Funimation is incredibly finicky for me, it can be really annoying to get working. Personally, I've found that the most likely way to succeed is to save cookies and user agent to authentication, and sometimes you have to play around with the video page for a different link (sometimes there's a video ID at the end, sometimes it's undefined, it seems inconsistent which one works). I typically have to re-do the entire authentication process each time I want to watch funimation videos as well. And on top of all that, videos don't seem to include subtitles, so you have to find those yourself if you're watching subs.
I can't even say confidently that my tips will solve the issue for you, I know it was a headache for me and I'm still not sure how I got everything working, and I feel it could break on me again at any time. Crunchyroll works infinitely better with SVPTube, but for some reason Funimation is getting all the anime these days.
