Topic: Weird behavior cropping black bars in some 4k hdr files on Mpv

Hi there, helpme understand why this happens, when black bars detection is enable with mpv some files 4k hdr , the movie instead of display onto all size of screen, play like a square in the middle, oddly same settings on mpc hc play properly, i have several movies 4k hdr, the only I think of is that the ones with this behavior are h. 265

just a guess - what if disable "allow output in 10 bit color depth" in SVP?

Another guess - disable "Decrease to screen" or "Fit to screen" options if they are enabled in SVP.

Thank you both, the suggestion of James D plus manual selection in preview and fine tuning, fix the problem! I guess for the moment I do it that way for this kind of files
