Topic: SVP not doing 10bit playback after driver update. (mpv x64)

At least i think so. Normally when i start up a video, SVP says something like "1080p/10bit", and now it just says 1080p...

10bit is enabled in the program and in nvidia control panel (I have a GTX 1070)...everything else indicates that 10bit is on, yet since SVP doesn't say it anymore, it has me worried.

Windows 10 Home.

EDIT: Just did a clean install of the 399.07 drivers, erased all profiles and enabled 10bit again. Still doesn't say it... So it's definitely not my driver.

Maybe 10bit is working but for some reason SVP doesnt say it is?? idk

It only works if "GPU acceleration" is on. Is it?

This works good with mpv. Now it says 1080p/10bit.

But when i try with MPC-HC it doesn't say 10bit, even though 10bit is enabled in my renderer settings.

I can't decide between these two media players, to even start deciding i need to make sure mpc hc supports 10bit properly, or i'll just uninstall mpc entirely.

Thanks.

On a side note (referring to my other topic about choppy playback), it seems mpv handles motion better than mpc-hc, meaning there is less choppiness, even with upscaling. Is that just me? mpv might just be the way to go.

Re: SVP not doing 10bit playback after driver update. (mpv x64)

MPC-HC is DirectShow-based player, so it supports 8bit only. To get 10bit you can use mpv-based player or VLC.
