Topic: SVP stoped working after Win 10 1803 update

Hi,

For some reason is not working anymore after 1803 update. I already uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it simple do not work. It try to open, but them simple vanish, no process in the Task Manager or anything.

Any advice where I look to see what is happening?

My system:

i7 2700k @4.2Ghz
GTX970 + GTX670 397.54 driver
24GB ram

Gpu driver was reinstalled after the update.

if it stops after "Main: running OpenCL info..." line then it's about graphics drivers
usually the reason is Intel's IGP drivers but if your have i7-2700 then it's strange hmm

I have similar problem, I have an Nvidia 1070gtx and the integrated intel graphics  UHD 630,

The 1070gtx disapeared from the GPU acceleration menu and only can run with the UHD 630. If I disable the UHD 630 in devices the SVP4 doesn't open.

I tried to reinstall everything but windows itself, I think is the same problem you have. Can you enable the integrated graphics to see if SVP opens?

Only latest NVidia driver ( 397 ) makes the DGPU disappear from the SVP GPU Acceleration, but by using an older version such as 391 it works fine.

Here's mine, think CUDA is disabled from the latest Nvidia drivers. going to install CUDA separately to see if it works.

Got the latests Nvidia WHQL driver : 397.64

Sometimes the computer is left in a state where clGetPlatformIDs() fails and basically the entire GPU is unable to do anything else but normal 2D operation. It doesn't seem to be a hardware issue because logging out & back in fixes the issue.

I have the same problem, and after that a reboot is necessary

It seems that it really doesn't detect the GTX970M, even after DDU-ing the DGPU. Thankfully it isn't an optimus problem. I would install an older driver, but I need the current one for some games.

The solution is to use an older driver them? sad

I will wait to see how it will be fixed. I like the smoothness, but now with tests in college no time to do watch movies and do all troubleshooting.

The latest Nvidia driver, 397.93 seems to have solved most of the issues, at least for full screen exclusive mode.
