Topic: Can SVP change aspect ratio of movies in Stereoscopic 3d player?

Can SVP control the aspect ratio of movies played by Stereoscopic 3d player?

For example, let's say the Stereoscopic 3d player plays a 3d movie in full screen at 1920x540. Can SVP adjust the aspect ratio and force it to 1920x1080 ?

SVP successfully detects that the video being played back in Stereoscopic 3d player is 1920x540, so I'm thinking maybe SVP can force the aspect ratio to 1920x1080?

Re: Can SVP change aspect ratio of movies in Stereoscopic 3d player?

It is not SVP task. It is job of your Stereoscopic player.

What is wrong with aspect ratio?
Just change it via player's settings.

NVIDIA 3d vision player shows the wrong aspect ratio in full screen when I use ffdshow raw filter under video processor.

Stereoscopic 3d player keeps showing the wrong aspect ratio in full screen.

*sigh*

I want to use SVP, but when I use ffdshow raw filter, it messes up the aspect ratio in full screen.  Instead of 1920x1080, I get videos that 1920x540 if they are over/under.

I really want to buy a license for Stereoscopic 3d player & SVP, but I can't because of this problem. I've been trying for two days to fix it. Any ideas?

Can you give a screenshot of wrong aspect ratio. And events log from SVP?
You can do it via sending problem report from SVP or just post it here.

Problem screenshot: https://imgur.com/PsJbaLG - As you can see, it's 1920x540. No matter what aspect ratio settings I use in 3d stereoscopic player or Nvidia 3d player, I'll always get this fullscreen resolution of 1920x540 when playing over & under 3d movies. If I use the default NVIDIA 3d player without changing any decoders, the movie plays in the correct aspect ratio of 1920x1080.  If I use SVIEW, which is another 3d player, the movie plays in the correct aspect ratio.

The good news is that some 3d movies do work properly in full screen using SVP + Stereoscopic 3d player.  The 3d movies that always work are 960x1080 SBS. Here's a screenshot of 3d movie type that always show the correct aspect ratio in full screen: https://imgur.com/AILrWMT ... It's the over & under movies that show the wrong aspect ratio.  Also, there's one more problem.  960x800 SBS movies result in black bars on the left and right hand sides.

I actually found someone else who ran into the same problem as me: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topi … -decoder-/ .. He used ffdshow raw filter and he complained about the aspect ratio being too thin in fullscreen.

I believe there's a problem with 3d sterescopic 3d player in this regard.  I'm on a fresh install of Windows 10.

I actually tried using ffdshow to resize the movie, but it breaks the 3d effect unfortunately.  You know how ffdshow raw filter shows that icon on the bottom right tray? It has a resize option. I tried every which way to resize the aspect ratio to 1920x1080, but like I said it breaks the 3d effect and it looks all wrong.

You know, I spoke with the developer of http://www.sview.ru/ .... He's actively working on his player.  I wonder if you could convince him to program his software to work perfectly with SVP?  He's a really nice guy and responds if you email him.
