Image morphing

Kind of an odd question here, so I understand if I don't get a response.

I was messing around with the settings and playing MPC at 1/2 and 1/4 speeds when I noticed at one point the images were morphing and sliding smoothly into their next position rather than simply appearing there like normal. I was still fiddling around with the options so I didn't stay with those settings. I later decided I wanted to make use of that effect because it looked really good in slow motion but for the life of me I can't seem to reproduce it with the settings I thought caused it, or apparently any other combination of settings I tried there after.

Does this seem like it might have been a one off glitch, or is someone aware of how to deliberately induce that behavior?
