Topic: Transcoding - is GPU-acceleration needed for smoothest motion?

For SVP's real-time interpolation, there are certain behind-the-scenes difference that give a smoother result when using GPU-acceleration vs only using the CPU for interpolation ("smooth.cubic" particularly comes to mind - it only works with a GPU).

Therefore, I'm wondering if this applies to transcoding as well - that is, do we need to have GPU-acceleration enabled in order to have the smoothest motion possible even for transcoding?  In other words, if I transcode with GPU-acceleration disabled, will the resulting motion not be as smooth compared to if I had GPU-acceleration enabled?

Re: Transcoding - is GPU-acceleration needed for smoothest motion?

yes, it works exactly the same way as real-time interpolation does
