Topic: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

~One frame drop per second on 23.81 FPS content. Does not happen with 23.976 content.

Only happened after updating SVP from SVP4 TP to SVP4 FREE

First happened on my media PC. Tested same file on my gaming PC and it played perfectly

Started testing on the gaming PC that was working fine -

Updated MADVR to latest version. Playback still fine

Updated LAV Filters to latest version. Playback still fine

Updated SVP to latest version. Frame drops now occur.

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Update: Reinstalled SVP4 TP and it plays fine. No dropped frames but I do get a script error

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Hey buddy. Thanks for the tip.

It didn't work for me

If I try to enable the setting while playback is happening and SVP 4 is active, it crashes my media player.

If I try to enable the setting while playback is happening and SVP is not loaded, the setting reverts to the original when I load SVP 4

If I try to enable the setting with no playback, the setting reverts to the original when I start playback and load SVP 4.

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Try to change "Number Of CPU Computation Threads" on SVP 4 application setting manually, work for me smile
And I also watch anime, So I hope it will fix your problem smile

P.S : I Use PotPlayer Latest Beta

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Hmm that didn't work for me

I think I need to change the setting in ffdshow under avisynth - 'add ffdshow video source'

Everytime I try to tick this, it crashes

'Process whole image' is unticked
'Avisynth' is ticked
'Add ffdshow video source' is unticked
'YV12' is ticked. YUY2 RGB24 and RGB32 is unticked
'Buffer back ahead' is ticked. settings of 1 and 5

Avisynth script per below

global svppath="C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\SVP4\"
try {
   import(svppath+"scripts\70688.avs")
}
catch(err_msg) {
   ffdshow_source().Subtitle(err_msg)
   WriteFileStart(svppath+"logs\err-70688.avs.log", "err_msg")
}

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Can You Tell Me Your Computer Spec (Especially Your CPU, In My Case Somehow It Solved The Problem On My PC), Maybe I Can Modified Some Of My Setting For You, And Hopefully Solved Your Problem smile
Oh, And If You Don't Mind Copy Content Of "frc.cfg" In C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\SVP4\Settings, You Can Use Notepad To Do So smile

It's Okay If You Don't Want To Do It, Just Trying To Help :3

PS : Just In Case, Do You Really Have Tried To Change Your Application Setting ?

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

It's Seem The Avisynth Setting In ffdshow Generate New Script (And Maybe Reset The Setting As well) Everytime User (We) Play A Video :3

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

It Seem It's Not Your Hardware (I'm Not Really Sure Myself sad )

Someone Give Me This Suggestion, Try To Disable GPU Acceleration And Run SVP Assess System Performance
If It Didn't Solve Your Problem, It Seem You Must Use SVP 4 TP Until (Hopefully) Your Problem Solve In The Next Update (Or Full Version <(") )

Oh And To Solve The Script Error Download Avisynth.DLL From Here : http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=148782
And Replace avisynth.dll in your system32 (on 32-bit OS) or syswow64 (on 64-bit OS) With This One

Hmm, I Really Need A New PC sad

Re: Dropped frames with 23.81 FPS source (anime)

Thank you

I tried that and still no fix. I've rolled back to 3.1.7 for now. All works fine there.

Thank you again for your input
