SatisfyingCrunch
If the video is h264, madVr would print it "Input -> Output", e.g. the video is h264 10-bit it would be "h264, 10 bit, 4:2:0 -> PO10, 10 bit, 4:2:0"
If the video is h265, it prints only output, e.g. "P010"

When using SVP, it can't have 10 bit output so the output is in 8 bit, so madVr would print "h264, 10 bit, 4:2:0 -> NV12, 8 bit, 4:2:0"
Of course you can forcefully the output to PO10 in ffdshow decoder setting though, but that's not recommended smile

Okay, played the same file from MPC without SVP configured for it yet, and im getting : h264, 10bit, 4:2:0 > P010, 10bit, 4:2:0 being displayed now. So i guess thats why CPU was going mad while playing this with SVP.
On potplayer, my default player however, only displays NV12, 8 bit, 4:2:0. Doesn't have h264, 10bit, 4:2:0 > NV12, 8 bit, 4:2:0".

You know, you can see the bitdepth and stuff for a specific video file in MPC-HC via File -> Properties -> MediaInfo (tab); said info is for the actual video file so it doesn't matter whether you're using MadVR, SVP, etc.

I use Mediainfo itself. Put in your context menu and set it to display text. Much more convenient.  https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
