Topic: Can my CPU/GPU handle SVP?

Currently using PotPlayer (madVR,XYSubfilter,Lav Audio,Video,Splitter)

Current problems: Lags when playing 1080p videos, (ex: Fate Zero/Fate Stay night in 1080p).
Sometimes this problem happens with movies, like Read Redemption 1080p DTS, but it does't happen with American Psycho/The Departed
i think the problem lies, on the image size, and if they 10 bit?, but i could be wrong. ( also, links contain images of frame rates and other info).

sorry for bad english.

Re: Can my CPU/GPU handle SVP?

depends on what kind of lags you have

if CPU is loaded more than 80% (*) then lower settings in 1920*1080 profile
otherwise:
- turn off all video enhancement features in NV control panel
- lower madVR settings

(*) AFAIK 10bit decoding is not hardware accelerated  hmm

Only thing i have on PotPlayer is the sharpening video enhancement, however i did took that off.

CPU is fine, i think? normally it stays at 50-60%

Re: Can my CPU/GPU handle SVP?

it is right on your screenshot - "gpu usage 98%"

So, you are telling me my GPU is the problem... mmm ok.

i did noticed the GPU usage, but i forgot to edit it, it also feels like my GPU should handle it, but for some reason it does't, oh well.

- lower madVR settings

I don't know how, i would probably just make a mess with the settings..

thank you for the help tough, i guess i can watch most of my Movies in 60fps tough... and probably the same show if it was 720p

I don't know how

open madVR's settings window by clicking the tray icon

in fact if you asking such questions may be it's better to just switch to EVR-CP renderer wink

Re: Can my CPU/GPU handle SVP?

Oh yeah i know how to go to the settings and change them, but don't kno wwhat else to do from there lol, i can just use VMR9 Renderless tough?

also, kind of off-topic is my gpu that bad? i always feel like its not and its my shitty PSU that its holding it back

Re: Can my CPU/GPU handle SVP?

From all your screenshots, the only video that works fine is the one which it has 23fps (23.97 to be precise).

Is it possible the problem laid in video?

But surely SVP should be able calculate it though.

madVR is renderer for enthusiasts to make picture better but it needs for huge GPU power. You can adjust it but it is topic not about SVP smile
Use madVR documentation and madVR forum for it.

mashingan

Doub't its from the video, but thank you.

yeah, i tried using other Video Renders, like the VMR9-VMR7, nothing changed, guess it's my PC

thank you all tough.
