SVPLight flickering

I have SVPLight setup with MediaPortal and mostly it works as it should. The problem is that the LED strips flickers when there are color/light changes in small areas in the video. One example is the intro to the movie Alien, each star at the top produces a flicker in the LED strip for that zone. Is there a way to modify the averaging and the zone sizes?
