kmplayer overlay shows:

Import: couldn't open "C:\ProgramData\SVP 3.1\AVS\ffdshow.avs"(ffdshow_filter_avisynth_script, line 4)

I have reinstalled SVP full as admin and installed the latest video drivers as well as reregistered jscript.dll
I have tried running both SVP and kmplayer as admin and as a regular user.

It was working fine just a few days ago so I'm not sure what I did to make it stop working.

22:04:38.135; Error: Error preparing smooth playback! Script error:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\SVPMgr.wsf(16, 2) WScript.CreateObject: Could not create object named "WScript.Shell".
C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\SVPMgr.wsf(30, 2) Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method

It is mean internal windows scripting works incorrect.
Try this solution (FAQ - Windows Script Host error: "The value for the attribute is not valid : language" or "JScript"):

to re-register 32-bit version of jscript.dll located in %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\ with regsvr32 command. To do this:
- run "Command Prompt" (just write "cmd" in the search box) as administrator;
- execute the following commands:

cd %windir%\syswow64
regsvr32 jscript.dll

If it can't help then it may be antivirus software. Try to enable WScript.Shell in your antivirus.

Re: Error preparing smooth playback

Hi, I have re-registered jscript.dll in my Syswow64 and system32 folders (Windows 8 x64) and disabled antivirus but I still get the same error. I also forgot to include this error:

Try to google. I found only sad news about this error. You need to restore system or to reinstall windows. sad

Hi, I have re-registered jscript.dll in my Syswow64

also re-register these files - 'wshom.ocx' and 'sccrun.dll'

Re: Error preparing smooth playback

I could not re-register wshom.ocx or sccrun.dll and based on possible system corruption, I ran dism and sfc as admin

cmd>
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

It fixed the corrupt system files and SVP now works again.

Thanks!
