SmoothVideo Project → Using SVP → SVP inbetween was inharmonious under certain circumstance
two problem:
the first one:

The premise condition that occurs in:
1. high contrast images
2. high speed images
3. produced fluid of inbetween
the 2nd one:
there would be a picture pause when svpMgr.exe detected the variable frame rate and the variable frame rate repair activated

It is artifacts.
If you want to remove double edges then use SVP-shaders 1 and 2.
If you want less waves artifacts then select bigger grid step in profile window.

when variable frame rate was detected, frames would pause 0.x seconds.

But one thing is the same, it is frame pause...

I see. You want unvisible magrin of smoothing mode change. It is impossible for now.
Good solution is to watch anime at constant value of target framerate setting in profile settings window.
Cause is in this anime that has variable framerate.
BTW. If you want you can to know what peaces of this anime have different framerates. And what framerates.
For mkv use Haali mkv2vfr tool. For MP4 use MPEG4ip mp4dump tool. More info see here: VFR.

In some extreme cases， inbetween makes the picture to get worse.

The chaotic frame often happens in high speed and high contrast.
I think it could be necessary to adjust the existing algorithms to make insert frame looks more natural.

I watch the anime video of above screenshot once more，in yuour recommended anime mode
in this mode, inbetween was using bending instead of mixed
it is really much better!
Because the inbetween are generated by the algorithm, in other words "it is speculative"
If svp could be appropriate to reducing the sharpness and contrast in adding inbetween of the anemi, then continuous frame could appear more natural
Just in my opinion
