Topic: [SOLVED] SVP 3.1.5 does not support Windows 8.1?

Hello.

Currently i upgraded to windows 8.1 and now it says i can't install SVP.
I can install the core version, but it does nothing, i can't even open the SVP Manager.

Is it just me? If not, is a version for 8.1 coming soon?

Thanks.

Win8.1 x86 clean install. Everything works well.

Re: [SOLVED] SVP 3.1.5 does not support Windows 8.1?

There is no error, it goes into the tray, and when i double click it to access the menu it does nothing. And it also doesn't work with any video or video player. I've been used SVP for a really long time and this has never happened before...

The install error i get when i try to install the pack is something like " To get the version for your PC contact the manufacturer ".

I use Windows 8.1 x64 Pro N.

I wasn't using ffdshow on this, was just to test the problem you quoted.
I usually use a modified version of Maken's guide that i've been using for years. (I also tried following the complete guide without making any changes and didn't help at all) Only now it gave any problems, maybe i should install a non-N version of windows?

MeiMisaki
Log.txt is good. SVP starts successfuly.

when i double click it to access the menu it does nothing
To access SVP Manager menu you need to use right mouse button.
Double click on SVP tray icon start to work only after first successful play video with SVP. It must open active profile window.

I think you need to get ffdShow loaded when play video. See more info at Quick start page and in SVP FAQ: SVP Manager tells "Waiting for ffdshow video..." even when the video is actually playng with ffdshow.

Re: [SOLVED] SVP 3.1.5 does not support Windows 8.1?

Thank you!!!
Changing those settings on ffsdshow completely fixed it!
