1. Have you any antivirus installed in your system?
2. Tell more details about you hardware specifications.

Re: problem installing

yes, i use comodo internet security.
sorry i forgot to put my specs

ATI HD6950 1GB
700W Silvestone Psu
8 gb patriot ddr 3(if i'm not mistaken)
motherboard DFI LANParty DK 790FXB-M3H5  (3 PCI, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)

comodo internet security
Can you temporally switch it off to check does it affect the SVP installation?

AMD Phenom II X4 965
All worked at default frequencies or overclock is present?

Re: problem installing

default frequencies.
i switched it off, but the SVP is still not working
i also tried to redownload it w/o the antivirus, still not working : (

win 7 x64
1. Can you tell full name of your operating system? You can view it in computer properties window
2. What language is selected for GUI and for typing?

Re: problem installing

still not working installer or SVP manager?

Error Internal error: ExtractTemporaryFile: The file "XP_taskKill.exe" was not found is not critical, this file uses only for closing running SVP manager.
Does installer continie after this error? If it does - dont warry, if not - say me and I rebuild installer with command line parametr for disabling this ExtractTemporaryFile

Disable all antivirus protect
Due to Comodo I try to use it, but I unlike it becouse ComodoAV paranoya beyond the limit, I cant even recive/send e-mail with it
And even you disabled Comodo AV it works becouse its core in memory and denied access for regestry, FS, etc
Uninstall it complete and reload computer

I recomennded to use Avira IS or Kaspersky workstation, not Kaspersky home/personal/ferrary/etc
Kasp WS nag for work and its work, it does't have unnecessary features

Re: problem installing

@mag79
1. Windows 7 professional x64, i can't find any other information : (
2. keyboard & languages would be english US

@rimsky
still not working installer
the error starts the moment the installer is executed, so i doubt any process could take place, and no, the installer doesn't continue.
i have disabled the comodo AV, but do you mean uninstall the comodo completely?

Re: problem installing

ax-ed
but do you mean uninstall the comodo completely?

yes,
my own experience with him endid with avira personal  smile

Re: problem installing

ax-ed
Hmmm. Usual system and usual language. It must work with no problem! hmm

May be you execute installer in unusual way?
I recommend to do it from windows explorer.

Re: problem installing

@MAG79 it appears that Rimsky is right and my AV cause the problem
sorry to trouble you and thanks a lot : )

@Rimsky thanks a lot!
uninstalling comodo certainly helped
i didn't notice an AV could be so deep rooted to a system
but i think i can't afford to purchase the kaspersky workstation you recommend, and Avira really slows down my internet, almost cut my connection speed by half.
do you think i could use the comodo again? after installing it?
thx!

AVG?

Re: problem installing

will AVG interfere with anything?
will the free version be suffice?
i just want to make sure the whole SVP system works well : )

Re: problem installing

ax-ed
if you interested in free antivirus - try Avira personal, its free file antivirus
if you need firewall - use only comodo firewall, but not comodo AV

Re: problem installing

avira slows down my internet considerably, even at the minimum protection.
i am now trying the AVG, hope it fits  my need : )

Re: problem installing

ax-ed
really? hmm
avira work on my P3 internet gateway home computer as faster as kaspersky WS 6.0.4.1424 on profile computer
may be problem not only in AV?
did you run SVPMark? hou mach point it shows?

I don't think that you could use the comodo again

Re: problem installing

my internet connection is not good at all, its unstable, i mean very unstable, and quite slow.
i tried the avira, and when i download, it should be around 20 kilobyte/s according to my connection monitor but the download speeds is just 10-12 kilobyte/s
i tried changing the settings and manage to reduce the speed cut to around 25-30%.
since it didnt work out, i uninstalled it and use the comodo AV, which then conflict with the installation of SVP and the execution of ffdshow.
now i am trying avg, no problem with svp, except the crash when seeking, which is well known

Re: problem installing

no problem with svp, except the crash when seeking

may be this little help:
SVP manager - RMB - turn off on seek - turn off by 2 sec

in additional add %appdata%\SVP 3.1 folder in exeption in AVG

Re: problem installing

[FIXED] MPC-HC Appcrash on seek (svpflow2.dll)
