Topic: Inconsistent framerates

So, I've been using SVP for some time now and have grown tired of the random framerate stutters I experience. I'm running all codecs from the SVP Full install, so I presume all my versions are the most stable for SVP.

At seemingly random intervals, (not only fast panning shots, but some slower shots also) the framerate of the video will drop and cause a jump. I have all SVP settings to default, and it seems to occur with all video types, with the most recent being 720p Hi10P anime. Is there some setting within SVP or MadVR I can modify to prevent this from happening, without losing quality? I'm sure my rig can handle the interpolation, as my CPU only rests at around 20-30% during playback of 720p.

Hardware:
120Hz LED Monitor
Intel Core i7 950 OC @ 4.0GHz
2x Nvidia GTX 560 Ti SLI
6GB RAM

1. How many monitors do you have? 120 Hz can play without stutter only when it the one monitor in the system.
2. What you see when tearing test is running? Are movings of line have stutter too?
3. What value do you see in madVR statistic at dropped frames line?

Re: Inconsistent framerates

Will having multiple monitors cause problems? I didn't mention I'm running dual monitors, because I didn't think it would affect it. One is 120Hz, and the other is 60Hz; both at 1920x1080.

Yes.
Just make this monitor the only one in the system. And you will see it.

Re: Inconsistent framerates

That's kind of a pain to do every time I want to watch a video.. Will there ever be a fix for this?

Also, could I just set my monitor to 60Hz, to stop this from happening?

I think it is the worse compromise hmm

It is problem of DirectX that is not support correctly multimonitor systems with 120 Hz.
You can try to make 120 Hz monitor First in system. But it is not work for me (I use Viewsonic VX2268wm).

I waiting for you answers of questions #2 and 3.

Re: Inconsistent framerates

I also have my 120Hz monitor has the primary, but the problem is obviously still occuring.

Sorry, I assumed the problem was because of the dual monitors, so I didn't think you needed the other questions answered.

2. The tearing test stutters with the video, but does not show any tearing.
3. I'm not quite sure where I find the madVR statistics?
