Topic: libflowgpu for current nVidia cards

Hello,
I'm using your version of MVTools, except libflowgpu does not load. Other forum posts seem to say that the newer nVidia drivers broke OpenCL, which is why libflowgpu doesn't load on newer nvidia drivers.

Is this still the case? Is there an update to fix this issue?

Thanks

Re: libflowgpu for current nVidia cards

hmm
SVPmark works via MVTools + libflowgpu and I don't see any issues with GTX680 + 304.48 for example.

Give me the error message, if any.

Re: libflowgpu for current nVidia cards

MSmoothFPS: unable to init FlowLib. (ffdshow_filter_avisynth_script, line 14).

The script works fine with libflowsse.

Where I can get info about your hardware?
Did you try to uninstall all graphics grivers (by Driver Sweeper for example) and after use clean install NVIDIA driver?

This is a fresh windows installation literally made last week.

Windows 7 64-bit Professional SP1

Intel Core i5-3570k
nVidia Geforce GTX 670 using 301.42 drivers (latest WHQL drivers).

Here's a link to my sysinfo dump.

Hmm...
I think we need to give you debug version of libflowgpu to get error number and description.
I ask Chainik for this.

1. check if SVPmark working for you
2. if yes then play with gpuid param in MSmoothFps - try 11,12 and 21.
3. if no

(which is unlikely)
then uninstall Intel's OpenCL runtime completely

Re: libflowgpu for current nVidia cards

The libflowgpu that comes with the MVTools download does NOT work with the GTX 670 with any gpuid.

The libflowgpu that I downloaded from here http://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=697 (Probably the one that comes with SVPmark), works with gpuid=21.

So I presume the libflowgpu for MVTools has not been updated for the GTX 600 series because it was last updated 28.02.2012, which is before you patched in support in libflowgpu.

This brings up another question. Does libflowgpu not work with Intel's OpenCL implementation?

It works but still with "shift error" at latest drivers (July'2012 for win8). Intel did not fix this issue.
I check it on my HD 4000 (Core i5-3570K)

it was last updated 28.02.2012

oops, my mistake smile

anyway, there's no reason not to use SVPflow instead of MVTools
