1. What version SVP are you using? 3.1.2?
2. Post here error details (number and error text).

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

ive tried avi, m2ts, and mpg files all crashed

anyway ill probably going to end up using without hardware acceleration

btw great job on svp!!!

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

have you read those links?  hmm

SVP can eat a lot of memory especially with multi-core CPUs with GPU acceleration enabled. This is not an issue with the default MPC-HC distribution but other video players may crash when memory consumption exceeds 2 GB limit for 32-bit process.
Luckily there's a simple solution for all that memory issues called 4GB patch from NTCore. Just run it and select video player's (or video encoder's) executable file.

PotPlayerMini.exe is NOT patched by default

Have you player crashes at small files (not Full HD)?

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

yes ive tried that 4gb patch already...also im running i5 3570k at 4.3ghz and 8 gb ram.

yes even small files like wmv still crashes...

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

I mean small resolution not small file size.

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

just tried low res files still crashes

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

ok, let's test your rig with SVPmark wink

in two modes:
1. with acceleration through GTX680
2. with acceleration through HD4000

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

hmm, seems to work just fine  hmm

I've got only two guesses:
1. it's a PotPlayer issue - try MPC-HC bundled with SVP
2. it's a 304.79 driver issue - try different version, 301.1 for example

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

tried mpc-hc and still it crashes

i was about to uninstall 304.79 and i noticed that 1.1opencl for intel was installed in my system. so i uninstalled it and tested again.

and finally potplayer w/ svp works with hardware acceleration...

thanks a bunch...

That's great!
Congratulations!

Solution:
Uninstall another (Intel) OpenCL driver.

Issue status: Solved

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

how can I understand how many OpenCL or which OpenCL driver installed?

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

recepky
Try Geeks3D GPU Caps Viewer.

Re: [SOLVED] Ivy Bridge + GTX680 - gpu acceleration still not working

I also have an HD 4000, with no additional GPU. If I uninstall Intel OpenCL to use SVP, won't it affect the other programs I use that depend on the Intel Media SDK?

Are you still expecting the next version of SVP to work with the Intel version of OpenCL? I noticed there's a new beta version of the Intel Media SDK--do you think that might include an OpenCL fix? I'd really like to try SVP, but it sounds like it's not compatible with my current setup.

yeah but don't expect too much, it'll be just a workaround with lower rendering quality
