Topic: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

Love how fast AviSynth Filter works in comparisson to FFDShow, however when I turn on the "Fill Black Bars" option it creates it own black bars before adding the lighting.

I've never seen FFDShow do this and was wondering if theres some script or something that needs to be changed.

Any known fix for this?

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

These pictures has different aspect ratio. Looks like ffdShow gives this information to renderer, but AVSF - is not.
You need to check what frame size has source video and compare it to both pictures. What picture is most similar to source?
Can you show MediaInfo for this video clip?

Also you can look into SVP log to get more numbers about frame size changings.
SVP menu Information > Events log:

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

Kind of new to this so I hope I did it right tongue
Definitely think FFDShow is closer to source, as AVSF does this to all of my 4:3 sources/content, almost like it's trying to make everything 4:3 convert to 16:9 with black bars

So here is the media info

smoothfps_params = "{rate:{num:1},light:{aspect:1.967,lights:10,border:16,length:120,cell:1}}"

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

indeed... I remember I fixed this months ago, but it appears my changes to AVSF were lost for some reason

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

Went to see if it was something with my system/ old install, and I get the same thing from a laptop with a fresh install. I guess something did bork.

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

fixed in 0.9.4

Re: AviSynth Filter adds horizontal bars to 4:3 content.

Awesome, absolutely working better. Thank you much!
