Topic: Red border appearing after a while.

So I've been using a copy of the autogenerated vpy script in MPV without SVP manager running via a hotkey.
Which to me is cleaner and avoids the need for the manager.

but consistently after a few seconds this red border starts appearing:

It does not appear when the manager is running, even when it's in the "disabled" state..

In fact, when I start the player with SVPmanager running, then switch to my script.. let it play for a while, then exit svpmanager, the red border instantly appears..
(Maybe it's some kinda anti piracy thing.. ? Strange method though.. EDIT: I should add, I bought a copy long ago. )

So.. what is the red line about, what causes it and is there a way to avoid it without having to have the manager open..?

Since the script works fine by itself without the manager.. so I don't see a reason to run that unless I want to generate a different script.. (not even for that, since I can change values in the script)

It is.
You can just keep SVP Manager running and disabled.

You can just keep SVP Manager running and disabled.

That is still quite annoying though, not to mention it starts enabled even if you had it disabled last run..

If it can check whether manager is running as well as whether that is the bought version, surely you can make it check that without the manager too..

All settings -> ui.disabled_on_launch = true

Re: Red border appearing after a while.

Anyone solve this?

I didnt have a red border or a slight red after shadow when I fast forward until the latest update.

I just updated SVP and now when I fast forward I have a red shadow for 1/4 second. While before it would fast forward without a delay. Now there is a 1/4 second delay in 1080p or 4k. Prior to this update, I had issues.

Every now and then I get a red border on the outline of the picture.

SytemUsing:
HDR Display
4090 GPU
32GB ram
4.4ghs
4TB SSD

Any help appreciated as I can't figure what setting changed. If I turn SVP off, the delays go away.

For those with MPV issues I made an input.conf file and added
WHEEL_UP      seek 10          # seek 10 seconds forward
WHEEL_DOWN    seek -10         # seek 10 seconds backward
WHEEL_LEFT    add volume -2
WHEEL_RIGHT   add volume 2

That changes around the mouse scroll issue being reversed.

Love for any help as the delay + red tonemapping after effect is really bad.

Here is the imagE:
When Seeking with 1/4 to 1/2 second delay with new SVP Version 4.6.0.263 (Prior version was beginning of 2023

Looks Normally after or if SVP off. When SVP off 0 delays on seeking

Re: Red border appearing after a while.

Still can't figure what is causing the delay and the aftertone. I made a new profile and set to automatic and it doesnt matter if 1080p or 4k. I get the red aftertone in the photo for 1/4 - 1 second. Not sure whats causing it in the new update
