Tsubajashi
subtitles are tricky... but they are obviously in the todo list

FYI, the next version won't need secondary ffmpeg process to run so it will fix your issue, hopefully

Where do i paste that?

But you need the program report right?

I found the setting for it on my own.

No image on the tv, cpu at 100% gpu at 11% barely reaching up to 25-26 fps. Encoder is nvenc x264, software was just at 2 fps lol

good for you! now look in SVP's Events log...

and play some "normal" video, not 4K
your hardware obviously is too slow for streaming 4K

Too slow for streaming? Then what's the nvenc encoder for then? Since the streamer uses the cpu rather than the gpu. Thought Nvenc was the encoder to use cuda for acceleration.

i actually found the issue.
i should not deactivate hwdec in mpv, without it it crashes it seems.
still yield bad performance cause of my cpu, but thats fine, i wait for amf

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

Alrighty, so it's mostly cpu based for streaming apparently.

Wonder how the 8700k i'm getting some time next year will compare to the ryzen 7 as it has 2 cores less, but much stronger singlecore speed. And is also 20% better than my 4790k

So until then, then i will use normal VLC to play off 4k movies and just use the "motion plus" my tv has.

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

nothing can stop you from streaming via SVPcast with frame interpolation off

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

True, but for that i just use videostream with chrome tongue

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

...and stream 720p only...

===

I'm wrong, it can do "native resolution", at least for 1080p...
but no NVENC smile

and 5M bitrate at maximum

My shield tv has a "chromecast ultra" in it, so it can stream a bit higher than 5Mbit wink

Nvenc doesn't matter as my gpu isn't being used when streaming anyways, mostly just the cpu.

So i'm probably not gonna use svpcast until it has gpu acceleration with 4k. or maybe use it for 1080p 60 fps, but it stutters a bit, so rather just "gamestream" with the shield tv then use normal mpc hc with svp.

I also find it weird that mpv doesn't interpolate when playing off a 4k movie. Also vlc i have given up on as it and  svp won't co-operate at all for me.

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

Videostream encodes video for streaming with 5M bitrate.

> Nvenc doesn't matter as my gpu isn't being used when streaming anyways, mostly just the cpu.

You didn't read what I wrote sad Interpolation uses "mostly the cpu" and NVENC works just fine.

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

Try the new .130 build.

- should be a little bit less CPU demanding
- added AMD AMF option (*)

(*) I can't check how good or bad it works, so please leave your comments wink
See the encoder options in "All settings": cast.encode.opts.h264_amf and cast.encode.opts.hevc_amf

Prerequisites

Windows® 7 (SP1 with the Platform Update), Windows® 8.1, or Windows® 10
Version 1.4.6: AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 17.12.1 (17.50.02) or newer

i have windows 10 1709 fully updated, and amd crimson adrenalin 17.12.2. svpcode DOES work but not SVPCast

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

ah! the only difference I can see is different default encoder params:

svpcode:  "code.simple.opts.h264_amf" = "b=$B,quality=quality,profile=high,rc=vbr_peak"
svpcast: "cast.encode.opts.h264_amf" = "b=$B,quality=quality,profile=high,rc=cbr"

in fact you can try to put all the svpcast's params into svpcode's encoding profile (under "advanced" button):
b=4700000,quality=quality,profile=high,rc=cbr,g=60,keyint_min=60,refs=1,sc_threshold=0

even if i replace it, it still doesnt wanna work.
cant go back to 17.12.1 either, as i have serious issues with netflix on it, 5 seconds in and pc is freezing for every second after every 5 seconds
wait, gonna try the other one you put in your edit
2nd edit: then svpcode dies.
3rd edit: screenshot if i have done something wrong please let me know https://imgur.com/a/wCiS4

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

right
now remove params one by one

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

kicking out refs=1, and then it works.
b=4700000,quality=quality,profile=high,rc=cbr,g=60,keyint_min=60,sc_threshold=0
basically that one is working completely fine with svpcode, as soon as refs=1 is back in it it dies.

Re: The new SVP-cast is awesome! But why only cpu usage?

This was copied from Videostream ffmpeg args... I have no idea if we really need it hmm probably not...

well, since its just referencing, we probably wont need it in most cases.

a tiny bit slower than cpu only, but works!
also, cpu is completely chill. 10% usage!
uhm, even if it works, my mobile which gets the videofile begins to lag sometimes, or completely fucks up video output.
im gonna check if thats on my end though!
nope, not on my end. cpu works perfectly fine with a little buffer here and there, but gpu completely destroys it for some reason. gonna check why
