Topic: Is there a way to disable SVP in specific resolution?

Hi there,
I get my license today and I started to configure settings to specific resolutions.
But my computer can't handle 4K videos with SVP working.
Is there a way to disable SVP Avisynth scripting while watching 4K videos?

Re: Is there a way to disable SVP in specific resolution?

You mean automatically, instead of just pressing the button in the interface?

You should be able to add a little Avisynth resolution check that skips the SVP script above certain resolutions. I don't know what the syntax would look like, but you'd add it in the Avisynth section in the FFDShow raw video filter menu.

Re: Is there a way to disable SVP in specific resolution?

In the pro version you can use different settings (including disabling interpolation completely) based on the video resolution.

I did something like that only difference is frame width & height values but this isn't disable completely avisynth script, only disables interpolation..

I'll try...

Interesting! I'd report that as a bug.

yeah, right
there's no way to selectively disable the script now
why you think you need it?

Cause I can't play high resolution videos (1080p+, 4k etc.) while SVP is running, I've to close SVP to play them. It would be nice if there is such an option...

(Sorry for bad english smile )

... even if frame rate conversion is turned off? o_O

I've to close SVP to play them

there's a "Temporarily disable SVP" option in the main menu
plus an adjustable keyboard shortcut, default value is "Win+Ctrl+Alt+P"

I wonder what kind of hardware do you have?

Re: Is there a way to disable SVP in specific resolution?

I don't know why but I changed video renderer to madVR and now 4k video seems ok...

Re: Is there a way to disable SVP in specific resolution?

In any case if FRC is off while SVP itself (= "avisynth script") is on, it should not produce any additional system load (unless you have lighting and frame transformations turned on)

Then you probably would have been fine if you just enabled "D3D Fullscreen" in EVR custom presenter.

So long as the audio desync issue that I have with D3D Fullscreen doesn't appear on his machine too.
