Topic: Using svp with .m4v [h.265] (solved)

When I try to watch said video file ( without drm) ffdshow video does not appear. I have disabled all internal filters and added ffdshow video and ffdshow audio as external filers with prioritization. Other containers work properly. Is ffdshow even compatible with .m4v?
Use newest mpc-hc and newest svp manager version.

However, unprotected M4V files may be recognized and played by other video players by changing the file extension from ".m4v" to ".mp4".

Have you tried it?

already tried it but does not change

ffdshow doesn't support H.265/HEVC because it's very old and dead. You should use modern decoder (LAV, which is built-in into MPC-HC), and use ffdshow raw filter.

Just want to say, the pronouns make it sound like you're saying h.265/HEVC is very old. tongue
