Topic: Cracking noises with SVP3 and SVP4 - MP-HC

Hi all,

I used SVP3 with Windows 7 an now upgraded to SVP4 in combination with Windows 10.

With both setups I have quiet but annoying crack noises when the volume goes up a litte bit.
If SVP is deactivated (no filter change/same player) everything sounds fine.

I configured everything as shown here: http://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:MPC-HC
using a NVIDIA Geforce 580 GTX and a six core AMD Phenom II.
No reclock installed, but tested before with same problems as result.

Hopefully someone can help me, because I like the project a lot. Thanks!

don't use built-in audio with an analogue output?

Re: Cracking noises with SVP3 and SVP4 - MP-HC

Do you mean the internal audio switcher under View -> Options?
If I remove the tick and restart the player the problem still remains.

I'am using a Fiio DAC, but with my old Asus Sonar USB SoundCard I get the same problem.

have no idea then  hmm

is it somehow correlates with audio codec - mp3 / ac3 / dts ?

mp3 works flawless, seems to be only appearing with ac3 and dts

I've been having this issue too. I haven't looked into this further but the issue begins when I try to play specific movies using SVP and all I hear is crackling sound. Now when I play the movie in VLC, the crackling audio still remains. However, if I play the file normally in VLC before using SVP, it plays like it should.

It's a really bizarre issue.

Maybe it's something with audio bitstreaming then?
