Topic: Performance too low on decent system.

I'm getting "Performance too low - Try to lower settings index  (SVP index=.85x)"

The video occasionally stutters and audio cuts out.  The CPU load was at 25% and the GPU load was at 10%.

How do I fix this?

I'm using MPC HC included with the download on this system:
i7 2600k stock
8GB RAM
GTX 770 4GB
Samsung 7200rpm HDD.

Thanks.

First do reset settings to defaults: SVP tray menu - Video profiles - Reset to defaults - OK - Yes

If error will appear again then post here Additional information and Last launch log from SVP tray menu - Information

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

xioSlayer
Performance of your system is normal for it. It must be enough to play 1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264-UNiT3D.mkv. But something is wrong. Maybe filters in your player?

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

xioSlayer
if you use MadVR try to change it to EVRCP

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

MAG79
I dont know of any filters in my MPC HC player.  I will try to reinstall the player perhaps.

Rimsky
It is set to EVRCP already.

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

I have uninstalled MPC HC and wiped the settings.

After reinstalling I have the same problem.

Does anyone know what might be wrong?

1. please show performacne graphs while message apperas "Performance too low - Try to lower settings index  (SVP index=.85x)"

2. please show used filters

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

Sorry I took so long to respond, my internet has been out for most of today, it just came back on.

I do not seem to have "LAV Splitter".  Here is what mine looks like:

On the performance graph, I have put a red circle where I started playing the video.  From that point on, there were audio desyncs and video stutters quite frequently.

I seem to have less issues when I set the target frame rate to 2x instead of "To screen refresh rate" which is 60hz.  There are still issues though so it is not a solution.

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

it seems like haali return wrong fps to ffdshow
as variant during playing disable smoothnes, wait for 20-30sec and enable it again
Or unistall haali and THEN run install_splitter.bat in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\LAV

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

xioSlayer
SVP-index must be 1x and performace history line must be stable horizontal.
I think you need to disable wide search in profile settings window.

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

Hello, I'm not a specialist, but I just Solved a similar problem today.  smile
SVP worked fine, and one day, without anychange of me, I have same problems. SVP too low, audio cut out, and slowly pictures.
I tried many solutions: on MPC-HC and SVP filters ... un-instaled , re-instaled SVP and codec, cleaning registry etc...
Ony a new Windows re-installation solved it... sad
Everything seems ok for two or three days...and again the same problem.
I did not change anything...but I noticed  Windows had installed updates..
Today I tried to uninstalled  several Windows updates...  and SVP function fine again.

I removed five windows update and one windows framework.  I'm sorry I forgot to note the first three.  But here is the folowing three.  KB2748349  KB2749655  KB2779562  the other was near.
For me it was the solution!  If it can help you...
sorry for my poor english

I didn't understand what you meant by disable smoothness then wait 20-30 and enable it.  I uninstalled haali and then run install_splitter.bat, and it had no positive effect.

MAG79
I disabled wide search and it did not make any difference.

Your english is fine.  I'm not sure if I want to uninstall windows updates to fix the problem though..  I will consider it though, thanks.

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

xioSlayer
set the "processing threads" value to 15 - will it change anything? if no then set it to 19...

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

Thank you for my english Xioslayer.

When I said "uninstall windows updates", I don't mean all  the updates, of courses. But just selected updates. Uninstalled those were not security updates.
This eveningWindows propose to reinstall the six updates, I 'll try to do  to discover which one make problems.

I just tried this and it did not seem to change anything.  Neither 15 nor 19.

alain48-c
If you do that I would be interested to know.  Thanks.  If this does turn out to be the case maybe the SVP devs should be notified of this issue.

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

sorry for the off topic message, what skin are you using on your AIMP3? I like it but I couldn't find it

I might just have to uninstall those windows updates if that is indeed the only solution.  I really want the smooth video to work...

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

SVP is done correctly, no performance issue in your case

Thus "...SVP index=0.85x..." its issue of the videopalyer, or file, or monitor refresh rate is not strong equal 60Hz

please, check the source FPS of the video in ffdshow during playing
It must be equal source FPS 23.976 and dont change during play (it may vary a litle about 23.976 (23.6-24.2fps), but if it vary strong 19-22-26-28fps then its video with variable framerate

The FPS stayed the same as far as I could tell.  What else could it be?

Another test - turn off gpu acceleration in SVP

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

xioSlayer
this issue only with one file? or with all/many files?

Re: Performance too low on decent system.

Rimsky
The issue occurs with all files.

Chainik
The issue persists even without GPU acceleration.
