Topic: Different CPU usage in Task Manager and SVP Performance graphs

Hi all SVP users!

I have a strange occurrence, the Task Manager show my CPU usage ~50% of the value SVP Performance graphs show like you can see in the attachment image. The performance feels pretty bad i have set the settings to the default for AMD A8 APU, level 3, and as you see CPU is in 90-100% usage and SVP index 0.78. Feels like there is something wrong with SVP I do more trust Task Manager?
I have OpenCL disenable.
I have tried both ffdshow and LAV.
Reinstall SVP.
Tried MPC-HC and Mediaportal.
CPU: AMD A8-6600K
Motherboard: Asus F2A85-M LE
OS: Windows 8 64bit

Sorry for my English - hop you have any idea

Win8 shows CPU load relating to Full load at maximum frequency (3.9 GHz).
SVP shows CPU load relating to Full load at current frequency (1.83 GHz).

Just look at frequency. It is not maximum available. It is not good and not bad. It is just AMD cool-and-quiet technology.

Re: Different CPU usage in Task Manager and SVP Performance graphs

Still seems odd though, that it would not be triggering the CPU to speed up, when it's maxed out and only running at 0.78x.  Is SVP erroneously limiting itself because it is seeing the core as maxed out?

You need to find cause of not maximum frequency. Maybe it is CPU throttling because of overheating.

what the power scheme is set in control panel?
is APM enabled in BIOS?
